    Shehbaza,
The problem with Pakistan is that it's army can't even take care of it's own country, let alone train another. Every nation you mentioned, including Pakistan, has a rag-tag army. If Afghanistan truly wants to produce competent soldiers, Turkiye is the most natural training ground for Afghan Fauj. AFPAK should certainly have close ties, but they can't even strike a deal on exporting containers. There are thousands of Pakistani containers stuck in Afghanistan, and thousands of Afghan containers stuck in Karachi.

Simply put, Pakistan like Afghanistan is a corrupt banana republic.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

And Toramana, in case you didn't notice I answered Admin Khan's message.
Pakistani universities are internationally recognized as producing parrots. I would certainly be cautious about hiring a Pakistani grad, or hiring an Afghan who studied in a Pakistani institution.

Are you perhaps denying that Pakistanis are NOT brainwashed in school? Visit The Educational Centre in Gulshan-Iqbal, and witness brainwashing 101. How Pakistan is the leader of Islam, how Quad-e-azam should've been a prophet, etc.

Pakhtuns, like yourself, are naturally intelligent, but it is the educational system of the banana republic of Pakistan that has kept them backwards. I know Pashtuns who were educated in NUST, I know a Pashtun who is from GIKI, I recently met a Pukhtun at the mosque who is from NED Karachi; and they mostly study in the most lowly ranked institutions here in NY, and they feel like they are in jannatul-firdos intellectually. India, Iran on the other hand produce quality grads for the most part, that end up attending leading institutions like HYPSM.

Admin Khana! When you talk about Pakistan Army it's their policies which SUCK big time! The hunger and greed for Power and Money in the topped ranked Pakistan Army's officials which brings the performance of the whole institution to Zero. Let me give you an example, Currently in Orakzai Agency there is a Shia/Sunni conflict No doctor goes to the hospitals based in the areas of Shia Community those who are appointed there gets threatened by the Talibans as well. In such scenarios the doctors of Pakistan Army are there. The Lahore Young Doctor's case is also there.

The problem is that you won't find much officers with good moral standards in the high ranks of the Army. There is so much money and power there that a human loose his moral standards. This has alot to do with the society we live in. Like if you have a look at the Kargil operation? What was the need of it? I don't recall a name but there was Collon who wrote a book about this whole thing that how was it a failure from the beginning there was no need of it. And even the proxy wars. Like if you ask the common soldier about what Zia decided at that time most of them won't agree to it. So with the physical toughness and training of the officers I think they should teach some other things as well. Like how to be a gentleman when you have all that money infront of you.

The other thing wrong in the Pakistani context is that Army is the only strong institution. The other institutions were not allowed to groom by the Army as well as incompetent people working in those institutions.

Now I get the Parrot thing. The Rattafication thing, but I won't agree to it as you are associating it with Nust and GIKI. As I know many people who studied from these institutions and are now working in many multinational organizations. I can't say anything for sure about NED though. UET is also a good institution and there are a few more like IBA and LUMS in the private sector. Going towards the other end IBA, Aga Khan University, Karachi Medical and Dental College, Khyber Medical College, Dow University etc. But than again it's very hard to get admission in any of the institutions that I named.

And I know exactly what you mean by Quid-e-Azam being the Prophet and Pakistan being the leader of Islam. Many things that are thought in those institutions aren't correct many are right! And there are currently many people speaking against the wrong things thought in the schools. Many people from the front media like Javed Ch, Hamid Mir, Talat Hussain are spreading awareness regarding these issues along with Najam Sethi and group. All this will take time and what it needs more is the will of those in power who aren't showing any interest in it.

And I'm sorry but I cannot comment about the foreign universities as I've very limited knowledge about it.

What a disaster this would be if it came to fruition

pakistan is a predatory expansionary state, nothing but strong defence and vigilance is required against its designs

Ive said it for years now, i would not be surprised in the least bit if the NA and the Pakistanis did a side deal yrs ago at the expense of pashtun blood
