  • DEBATE: Islam isthe root cause of backwardness in Pashtun society

As salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

I would like to invite all the munafiqeen, murtadeen, zindiqeen, and kuffaar to enter into a sensible debate in order to make your rhetoric more consistent.

    So please present your case.

For the Muslimeen, Mumineen, Muhsineen, Saaliheen. Musliheen... teach these poor souls a good lesson.

I dont think anyone here will arigue that Islam is the root cause. Because it is not. Islam has nothing to do with our problems.

We are dealing with these problems because of ourselves, Not because of a Religion.

Islam is one of the many causes of our backwardness.

Firstly, the village political Mullah wields a lot of influence. Secondly, for a very long time, our people looked at English as a foreign kuffar language thereby denying themselves modern knowledge. Third, Islamic conservative though in Pashtun society deprives girls of basic education in some cases and higher education in all cases. A strangled society can never prosper because it does not produce individuals, it produces sheep. An Islamic society is all about making people tow the line through deterrence - cut a few heads after Friday prayers and everyone would fall in line. Sheep don't make a very smart nation. That's just from the top of my head.

This belief in the afterlife is another thing that holds us back. People are lied to and told that their life is temporary and the coming life is the actual one. It has a very detrimental effect on our productivity as individual people.
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".

Hm... doesn't seem like a call to a "debate" to me, to be honest. Look at how you word your "invitation," Sangar. C'mon. Seems more like an invitation to the "poor souls" to be taught by the "Muslimeen," etc. That's not how you have debates, and that's not how you invite debates, either.

Qrratugai, do you not see the light? As soon as I stepped into this thread, I started seeing the light and now I believe!!!!!!

          See, it's working already.

You're a blessed soul, Lewanai... and have quite good resistence to light, cause, the second I stepped in and saw the light, my eyes hurt and I was forced to enter the dark side once again.

I think I'm just not physically prepared to so much.... "knowledge"?!

It could be because of an apparent major birth defect you had - you missed a Y-chromosome.

Oh my.... I always forget that factor. It must be also a result of the bad combination of an X-X.

You try to live without it, though!

I know this is TOTALLY off-topic, but I just HAVE to say this:

LOL!!! The best. Comment. EVER! I am this close to making it my signature, even LOL! It's sooo true! Missing this y-chromosome has been a curse in sooo many ways I could write 3.5 volumes on it - no kidding.

                      lol thanks Qrratugai!

And Gaia, I'd read it.... and so would around five other people here I know... Two would burn it and send the charred remains to the four corners of the Khilafa as a warning to other would-be offenders and this one would issue a Fatwa.
