There is a reason why the majority wont support it. It is because of these extremist fanatic variety of the Nationalists.
Please point out the things that you consider xenophobic and fanatic, and please provide alternatives to the said xenophobic/fanatic mindsets.

Since Pashtun/afghans didn't belong to Indian subcontinent, they refused to join either India or Pakistan and instead they demanded for an Independent Pashtun land "Pashutnistan".

On 21 June 1947 the famous Banu Resolution was passed. But the British refused to accept it and deprived the elected provincial assembly (which enjoyed 2/3 majority, 37 seats out of 50) even of its right to have its decision recorded and instead the British- Muslim League nesxus arranged a fake referendum (since then Pakistan has a history of such fake referendums).

Here is a copy of the Banu Resolution in which all Pashtun notalbles and member of parliament participated and voted for independent Pashtunistan.

I have made a thread about it. Give it a read if you must, but debating such short comings of people doesnt achieve any good.

No, not indeed. I merely wanted to seek your opinion as what constitutes xenophobia and fanaticism.

i dont get this attempt at a compromise - if you want ethnic nationalism (which you guys sound like you do) then what does ethnicity matter?

according to my understanding islam does not favour strong ethnic nationalism =
              - or strong ethnic loyalty because it can contradict islamic brotherhood, now i know what your response to this is (self interest, looking after yourself etc etc) but i am not quite following how you can be so ethnically natinalistic yet also purely islamic aswell

Because you are looking at it the wrong way. We have the right the defend our people, our language and our identity. Once we can secure that, we don`t really see the need to impose such things. After that we can worry about other issues.

Which school did you go to? In our schools we were double fined. In terms of Palestine like situation, you should see the camps and the situation where the operations are happening.

You have to realize that what you ask you will not receive. It will NEVER happen.

If you were being discriminated against then why after the 2001 U.S. invasion in Afghanistan did Afghans run to Pakistan for shelter and care? Pakistan could have just said no.

It appears you have become susceptible to ridiculous arguments by ethno-nationalists. You've chosen the wrong side. Whatever struggle you think you are engaging in, it will will be a never ending struggle that will always FAIL.

No, you are no more afghan or Pashtun. Now you have a false and fabricated identity manufactured by the Punjabi/Pakistani state in which you have a different language, i.e., Urdu, you have different history traced back to Sir Sayed, Iqbal and Jinnah as leaders, as your role models, a different culture called Pakisani or Punjabi culture etc.

It was Pakhtunkhwa which welcomed the brothers and sisters and it was the Punjabi military elite of Islamabad which pocketed the millions of dollars aid granted by the world community for Afghans.

Pakistan progressed at the cost of Afghan blood which they sold out as well as spilt to fulfill their filthy and nefarious designs ,for which they are facing the music in the form of suicide bombs now hitting Lahore too.

Yes it did fail. Look at the current situation in Bangladesh. India is working to make it a desert. Bangladesh is the poorest country in the world. India is pushing them around and dominating them as they please. How they did not heed the wise words of Jinnah.
