Other than that if the people still live in the land they had owned before. There is no need to belong to any country.
Well whether from an Islamic perspective or otherwise, the indigenous people are overwhelmingly Afghan(Pashtun) so it is still Afghan territory. It is not necessary for it be under a certain state (i.e. Loy Afghanistan, pashtunistan, Khilafah, etc), but it is still Afghan territory.

It still is, just on pakistans border. Makes no difference. We still live in our own land.

Unless they displaced us like the palestinians.

It was a fake referendum like that of Pervez Musharraf, boycotted by the Khudai Khidmatgars for the reason that there was not third option - Afghanistan.

It is a shame that the two brave tribes of Pakhtuns that is Yousafzais and Khattaks who have been fighting otherwise among themselves are active now in serving their Punjabi masters instead of raising a voice for the freedom of Pakhtuns and even are daring to talking against their own motherland - Afghanistan. What a shame??

Saiba don`t put all the khattaks and Esepzyes among these examples. I am a Esepzye and I know many others who would never turn against their pashto.

Yea it was a fake referendum. Begum Zari Sarfaraz (a Mosam league leader) has admitted that she has voted 14 times for Pakistan in that referendum....moreover there was no third option...the two option were one for Indian and other for Pakistan while Pashtuns wanted Azad Pukhtunistan so the non-violent Khudai Khidmatgars bycotted the referendum as they have no third option...lt was just like Zia and Musharaf's referendums.....In Zia referendummmm the option were:
Do you want Sharia in Pakistan and elect Zia as the president for that purpose?
              Yes
              or
              No
Na soz sho na saaz sho,
              Bas hasy jwand tamam sho

I was referring to those so called Pakhtuns among the two who are pro- establishment and anti Afghanistan. The ones who stand for their land , language and lineage are the best in the two tribes.

Secondly If Pakistan is an enemy of Islam, then why did Taliban allow Col Imam while an active ISI agetn to have a government position in Herat?

Nationalism is not always xenophobic, although in certain cases (the extreme) one it can reach it.

Nationalism, as we see it, does not mean that we envision dominance for our nation and servitude and depreviation for others. We acknowledge that our Pashtun Millat has been forced into a corner and is in a position not worthy of it's potential. Nationalism is an ideology which we seek to employ to make our nationa equal to other prosperous, moderate and developed nations.

As I have seen and read here, many of the Nationalists here are quite Xenophobic and extreme, to the level that is really unfortunate and sad.

There is a reason why the majority wont support it. It is because of these extremist fanatic variety of the Nationalists.
