amanullah was acting a little too liberal and paid for it, though calling him a kaffir would be an act of kuffar itself.

the thing about imran khan is that he has a ton of dirt in his past. the guy whos children is being raised by his ex jewish wife calling anything jihad is laughable, whether you agree with it or not.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Is it wrong to be anti-War?

lol unknownprince, sometimes you're an Afghan and then sometimes, you become a Punjabi. Make up your mind.

Imran Khan is known as Mr. U-Turn in Pakistan. When he was in England, he openly said that Altaf Hussain is a terrorist and that he will bring criminal proceedings against him. A year later, he came to an understanding with MQM, agreed not to say a word against them and agreed not to challenge them in their constituencies. In his Karachi rally, he did not even mention the word "Altaf".

Imran Khan is doing what the Republicans do in America go get votes. Bash your enemy all the time and you will become popular. Republicans vilify Muslims and get votes and Imran Khan has joined the anti-US bandwagon.

Lastly, Imran Khan has never said specifically how he will end Pakistan's support for the war, especially since it's in Pakistan's interest to support it. If Pakistan stops NATO's supplies, the CAS and India will oblige the US. Pakistan will lose billions in aid and it will lose the surety that India won't attack because, as we know, the US won't allow India to attack a regional US ally. Moreover, if Pakistan withdraws its support for NATO, it will be considered an international pariah - this is the last thing an aid-dependent state such as Pakistan needs. The EU and US will restrict imports from Pakistan, thereby crushing the already struggling local industries.

And the army does not want to go after Haqqani, Gul Bahadur, Mullah Nazir, the Quetta Shura, etc because they are Pakistan's allies who will, as Islamabad hopes, capture Kabul after 2014 and turn Afghanistan into Pakistan's 5th province again. This is why the army supports Imran Khan.

My point is that Imran Khan is not anti-war. Imran Khan is not pro-Pashtun. He is only making anti-American statements because in a country like Pakistan, that is the only thing that will get you support. The louder you curse America, the higher your vote tally will become. All these anti-drone Punjabis are more anti-US than they are pro-Pashtun. When the army completely carpet-bombs South Waziristan after the TTP attacked Lahore and Islamabad, the Punjabis supported it with all fervor despite the fact that many civilians died in those attacks. But they oppose these drones only because they hate the US, not because they love Pashtuns.

          samjha karo yaar.

I don't say Imran Khan is an Islamic guy but one thing is sure about him that he is a very straight forward free from corruption administrative. The way he won the world cup in 1992, then his hospital for cancer and the NUML college, he has proved himself to be a good administrative and a visionary person though he is not a politician.
Today, Pakistan does not need politics or politician at this point in time. Pakistan needs a highly competitive administrator to cleans the dirt from Pakistan and Imran Khan is the only guy who can do that.
So he is need of the day.

I am not calling him a great leader or some angel but he is better than any other guy in Pakistan though he has no party structure or no political mind.
But He is a good administrator. He is free from corruption from the day one, he is pro justice as his party name is "movement for justice", He is straightforward. Again I am not calling him some great leader of the time but he is better than others.

To cast doubt on this (or any other) Muslim, one has to ask is shaglay khan saeb practising any of the accusations now? What is in his power that can change the circumstances of his ex-jewish ex-wife raising his ex-children, considering foreign custody laws? Its a rhetoric question, i am not looking for an answer.

The other real question is, when some one converts to islam, is that person shackled with his past beliefs and practices?

When a man born into a Muslim family where by their neglect of Islam, leads them away from Sirat-e-mustaqeem and to western way of life, and the man later embraces islam, finds his route to Sirat-e-musteqeem, should he be judged by YOU on his past actions.

His past actions are accessible to everyone who wishes to search, however you better know what you are doing with his dirty laundry.

There are enough mashar and not so old ones too that I know who were badasses in their youth, they drank openly, had eyes (with black rings around them) on women, they lived a lascivious life, only later to do hajj and then piously sit amongst the pious.

I dont know this man, except what is portrayed by media, and selective interviews, enough to make such judgements.

Why not let his PRESENT ACTIONS judge him.

If we judge him by his present actions then why call the afghan war jihad and the pakistani ttp war against the state an internal conflict. Is that not hypocracy?

Is it not clear that his current knowledge of foreign policy is immature
It is clear he doesn't know where afghsnistan is
It is clear he is a pathan who discovered the word pashtun.

I really do not care for his comments on Afghanistan, he hasn't read the Lonely Planet Guide to Afghanistan, he may not have Khaled Hussaini's book to polish up his knowledge. He is just an alternative politician for the paks. Good for them. He is showing the people how corrupt they are, otherwise he is harmless to you masculine pashtun pakhtun out their in the wild wild west. He does not have the pathetic swagger of the pak army general nor does he the arrogance and ego of the pak bhuto zodari types. He is harmless style icon forth young boys, was a candy for the girls a decade ago, he is a saviour for the suffering class of the disenfranchised youth.

Whether he clasps his hands on his chest, on his belly button, below it, or lets em hang on the sides, circling it is just a way of promoting one's agenda. May be no one taught him? May be the camera caught him adjusting his . . . Azarband? Who know? Who cares?

He is charting his way in Politics having discovered how his hosts, the British disliked paks. With this humility he went to sort the image problem as well as clean the nation's act, he felt emboldened for he had a fan base. On the way he discovered that not only he is he a niazi, he is a pathan, that figure in pak psyche is awsome, the tall strong masculine warrior, naswar in the mouth, armed with an AK an the Quran, how noble, how romantic. He wrote a few paragraphs in book that looked like a 70s photo album, he called it 'The Warrior Race'. He is just a DIY politician who thinks he can change the lot of the paks - i doubt it highly but he is good for one thing for sure, outing corruption in pakolitics.

I am concerned is how a muslim is being treated and judged by other Muslims.
I cant figure out why would one want to display khan saeb's dirty laundry.

Is it not enough how the non-muslim treat us?

we know that is not khan with obama. he was pointing out that he has his hands in the same manner as obama when other around him are doing something else.

But is it not our job to hang the dirty laundry of corrupt people so everyone can see the hypocracy. It does not matter whether he is muslim or pathan or how tall he is. We judge people by their actions, their present actions, but at the same time it is important to know where people came from and it is his job to convince us that he has trully been rehabilitated. So far this guy is doing a bad job.

And no one man can fix the corruption of Afghansitan or Pakistan. The ISI is using this guy because they couldnt find another person of his persona. THe pakistani people should fix their governments policy on the people of FATA and Afghanistan or those same pakistani people should feel the same pain as the people of afghanistan and FATA.
