we very considerably rich and owned land before that ,so to us getting the title has to with defending the country.

we had many ups and downs but our Khan title has stayed intact and people treated us as such even when we were miserably poor or very rich.

yes we have tons of meshran, actually every elderly person is a mashar of his family and many of these mashran would come together in hujra and have a chitchat etc and when there is a problem they would try to find a solution.

than we have tribal elder(Qawm Mashar) which is selected by all of the other mashran and that person doesnt per se have to be old.

Qawm mashar represents the qawmuna at a qawmi jirga among different tribes or subtribes of different villages.

we dont know any malakan, never heard of it except in pukhtunkhwa.
        i guess it means landowners.
        don't make up stuff

this is just a story, good creative fiction

Khans are big landlords. there were Khans that organized people to fight the Brits and there were Khans who colluded with them. Its easy to buy big lanlords and that is basically how the Brits got a hold of India because India was a feudal society with big landowners and the people that lived on their land were basically their servants. All the Brits had to do was bribe the landowner and he could deliver the people that lived on his land at wholesale price to the Brits.
The Brits had a problem with Pashtuns especially the ones that lived in the hills was because the pashtun had not evolved into a feudal soceity and was still largely tribal. Tribal societies are harder to buy since it is difficult for someone to deliver people at wholesale price. No one controls them and each member of the tribe is independent so you have to pay each member off for their cooperation instead of paying one individual and he would deliver many in return.
To Counter this the Brits tried to employ Mullahs and have the mullahs deliver the tribal people at wholesale price and that still didnt work because the mullahs dont really control the people either. The mullahs tried to convince people by using religion as a tool but they had no economic control over the tribal people like the large landowners did in India.
Like the Brits and the Soviets, the Americans are facing this same obsticle and the result of trying to control them is instability.

For Bush or Obama to expect for Karzai to deliver the Afghan people at whole sale price like Mubarak did with the Egyptians is close to impossible. You need to pay Karzai thousands of times more money to deliver a few afghans than Mubarak to deliver 75 million egyptians.
