Will any Pakistan-apologist here tell me why the media is not allowed inside FATA? Why has the media not asked for access to FATA? It's so ardent on some issues but when it comes to reports of massive collateral damage in FATA, the media turns a blind eye on us. Why? Everyday, everyone from Jang to Dawn reports on their front-pages the unopposed press releases of the ISPR without even questioning them.
Why hasn't even a single media outlet challenged the ban on reporting from the war-torn areas? Is Pakistan's national interest more precious than the blood of innocent Pashtun women and children?Last edited by Levanaye Zalmaye; 06-24-2010, 04:10 AM."If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

Yes you are right they have bases in our motherland (yours too by the way), but who helped them in invading Afghanistan? Your Pakistan gave them bases and Iran was also helpful in ousting the talibs, ensuring the NATO presence. Before throwing paighour at someone, it would be wise to look into the country you so vehemently defend. The drones that fly into Mainzanee pashutnkhwa fly from bases near Quetta (a US senator even corroborated this), and the price tag for those drones is in the billions. They used to have a base in Baddabaera as well, but I guess then NATO were ahle kitaab fighting communists, just like today NATO is kaffir while China are good friends. Sabaa ba da noro thariif kawaee ao Cheen tha ba kaffir waee. No one is denying that NATO is there, but don't divert the subject.Originally posted by Sher Khan View PostNOw say isi and pakistan army did it ....
these guys got bases in your own country afghanistan.

Oooh! look at your neutrality!!! Yes! you are not bigoted!!Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostWill any Pakistan-apologist
Correction: They are allowed in FATA but just not in the areas where the Military Operation is going onOriginally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostWill any Pakistan-apologist here tell me why the media is not allowed inside FATA?
When the military conducts operations, it is standard military procedure to prevent the press except for their own Press. This is practiced everywhere around the world, and is currently being practiced by the Pentagon in Afghanistan as well.
Wake up and smell the coffee.!!!
Yes quite emotional arent you!!! If you are saying the Army is against Pushtun tribes my dear!! Then you are disappointingly wrong!!Originally posted by JasmineOne day the ISI and Pak Army will be held accountable for all the innocent deaths they have caused, all the innocent Swatis they have murdered and all the pain that have been caused through the innocent hearts of Mahsuds and Wazirs.

The so called Swatis you are talking about turned out to be Uzbek, Tajik, Gurkha (Indian) and some locals of Fazlullah's men who decided to wage war on the state and all of its people, they were butchering the innocent locals there long before the Army even launched their campaign !!!
But how can you know the truth!! since you are living happily in the West and I and my people suffer here while you lie against us.
Wow! your'e own mouth is pretty clean I must say!!Originally posted by Nick View PostDid you have to open your mouth full of Lies and pro-**** propaganda?
Boy!! you sure know how to spot the good guys from the bad guys with your'e super intelligent test!!Originally posted by Nick View PostFrom their normal average cloths clean shaved and young faces we know they were innocent.
its a good thing we have intelligent people like you among us.
WoW! how fair and neutral!! you sure didnt make up your mind from the beginning to bad mouth us, now did youOriginally posted by Nick View PostFurthermore even if they were Taliban, still Death to Pakistan.
Prove it !!!give me real proof not just some old wives tails or what women like to gossip about!! Hah!!Originally posted by Jasmine^Exactly, Taliban is a Pakistan creation and now they are using it against us.
They arose when the evil reign of the Warloards was beyond breaking point, when Gul Agha decided to marry a boy, when Dostam's men would take any woman they liked from the villages, when a couple of "Mujahideen" thought it was nice to watch for the first time in their lives a woman give birth infront of all these Mujahideen men and on and on and on.........................
But then again, people like you, hate reality and blame everything on Pakistan!!! If that makes you feel good, go ahead !!! my blessing is with you!!

Khushal there is no proof of Gurkhas. This gurkha drama of a few pictures of uncircumcised men by Ahmed Qureshi has about as much credibility as a cartoon. Second of all, media is allowed in conflict zones such as Iraq...hec they showed the bombardment live on the news networks. FATA has been severely blacked out in terms of media. I would like to see the corroboration of any of the stories of taliban casualties, even human rights organizations are highly skeptical of the numbers the ISPR is stating.
Who told you this is an old wive's tale? LOLZZ Col Imam, Hamid Gul, Ghulam Ishaq Khan, Naseerullah Babar, and even Mashar Mahmood Khan have all mentioned this. It is rather a fact known by every tom **** and harry.

^@ BLS: Thank you for reminding me how real forum discussions should be like !!! To all the cheap shots here!!! if you dont know how to behave on a forum, learn from BLS's last reply.
BLS!! you are the prefect Gentleman!!
Khuday di tal laraa!!
Now down to business!!!
Yes I can see why you would say that, but it was backed by the Army and by our Foreign Office. I have some statements by the Foreign Office as well and by ISPR saying some these men were most probably from Ladakh and Nepal (Gorkhas).Originally posted by BLS_1919v2.0 View PostKhushal there is no proof of Gurkhas. The Baghdad Shock and Awe was shown live on TV because it was not a secret, it was announced weeks in advance they would invade Iraq and they did. The same situation doesnt apply to this one.Originally posted by BLS_1919v2.0 View PostSecond of all, media is allowed in conflict zones such as Iraq...hec they showed the bombardment live on the news networks.
Showing strategic fronts on live TV jeopardizes the whole operation.
The result is often, many more casualties for the Army and the other side, this can easily be avoided.
They only take journalists in Helis with them and only when the military sees it fit for the security of the journalists, it is a mountainous area, where snipers can reak havoc.Originally posted by BLS_1919v2.0 View PostFATA has been severely blacked out in terms of media.
To say the least, FATA has its own special scenario, unlike the rest. What is the grantee the journalists wont be kidnapped or taken for ransom ??

Yes that is true, and what else is true? if you ask them if ISI supported the Northern Alliance War Lords like Masood, Rabbani, Dostam etc. etc., the answer would also be a YES!!
The Grand Yes is for the Mujahideen against the Soviets, many of whom are still alive and therefore acquaintances of Imam, Hameed Gul etc. .
But to say ISI supports the Afghan T' li baan of today would not be true, the Military, Foreign Office and the Govt. have denied it on countless occasions.

KKK manana for the initial statement. It is always a pleasure discussing issues with you.
Now Khushaal wrora we can`t take a government`s statement verbatim, we rely on investigative journalists to do the job. In this case, Pakistan as well as America have been guilty of brushing the news under the table. Hec, ISPR initially denied the death of innocent people in tirah, but it was the sheer number of deaths that prompted them to accepts it. The army would have never came forward had they been able to hide it. Better yet, the American public were largely unaware of the use of private mercenraries in Iraq until events like the burning of them (a few years back) and the books by Jeremy Scahill. Here investigative journalists had to risk their lives to bring this info out. Without them, people would have been oblivious to it. But there are countless more incidents that are being reported by the Hr organizations and local journalists (the ones that were not killed). Surely you can`t expect anyone to take the government line because they said so? One needs to corroborate it.
Also, everyone knew about the operations in FATA and swat, they were given fancy names and were declared (not to mention the propaganda on the news every other day). Come on wrora, basically you are asking me to believe the government (any government) because they said so.

Also remember Pakistan picked a side in the conflict (as did other countries), but that is not why we blame them. We are angry or are at odds with them, because I believe that their security interests and strategic needs are against Pashtuns. I can`t support such a state`s interests if it runs counter to my own peoples. I can also not justify them, as that is criminal to my own.
