you show a sub par grasp on communism or Marxism at it's root. The capitalists most potent argument against both Islamism and communism is exactly just that: both systems seek to perfect man as opposed to working with his true nature. The capitalist has you pegged correctly: Orwell was 1000% correct with Animal Farm when he depicted the utter failure of your pseudo heroes to extinguish the burgeosie. Lenin truly was the Pig as depicted by that author... Having undone the hard work of the Russian people in one foul swoop he proved the capitalist when the Russian people faced his monstrous resurrection of a more viciously potent burgeosie. Yet where you and the capitalist both reach an epic fail is that Islam never denies the base nature of man, in fact the end surahs remind man of this. Instead Islam addresses both the ideal and base aspects of man and plans around them.

lol for the 100th time, Imran Khan will not, because he cannot, end the drones or completely piss off America. The US has too much economic leverage over Pakistan.

lol and your grasp over Pakistan's internal dynamics is even worse than your understanding of international politics.

You are a desperate fool. Pakistan economy no longer exists. The "aid" went to the politicians. Who knew that the US backing corrupt puppets for leverage would actually entirely have the opposite effect? Powerless puppets with big pockets who are now afraid of their own people.

Its like the Durrand line. Durrand must be rolling in his grave knowing that his successors failed due to a line he made to weaken Pashtuns LOL for the irony. Has it dawned on you yet or are you so blind still?

Imran Khan is either the BIG EVIL man ready to end all support for the NATO war and end drone attacks or he is the weak puppet that you want him to be? Your desperation I guess is understandable.

By the way, the US is cutting all aid to Pakistan.

First of all, Pakistan does not really have an economy in the first place, I mean not a functioning one.

Secondly, the US actually does not have economic leverage over Pakistan due to the mass corruption that exists within the government. This is a myth made up by Pakistanis such as yourself who are pro-War. Did you ever bother to research this or did the myth appeal to you fantasizing about eternal war?

Due to this corruption, whatever economy Pakistan does have does not depend on US aid in any meaningful capacity. This was the futility in the US supporting corrupt leaders that can be voted out of power every 4 or 5 years. They need dictators for that to work- like your hero Musharraf. They needed Musharraf more than a Zardari that can be kicked out of power.

The US is cutting all aid to Pakistan, and soon it will be official.

Panetta's anger is justified from his perspective, and this will only further derail.

I sense you appear to be disappointed in this from your tone? Why? You should be happy, NO?

          Zalmai,

lastly, your Communist champion Lenin was a murderer too, so its not only Stalin's crimes that speak for Communism/Marxism and what it has brought. Maybe you should look up to Che, but then he as a guerrilla was only using Communism to free his people as Minh did too.

All communism/Marxism did was install a new authoritarian structure that was as involved in corruption than the elites they sought to prosecute. All governments eventually succumb to corruption. There has really been only one government in the world that has not.

Old Major was never the villain, Barakzai seb. It was Napoleon (Stalin) who undid the revolution, wouldn't you agree? Moreover, isn't Islamic political philosophy as diverse as liberal political philosophy? In the end, it's not as much about scripture as it is the human interpreter's own opinion. In fact, there isn't even any agreement over what a majlis-e-shura should be.

In any case, this is all irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

What is with you and Communism in every thread? And again, more misinformation.

By the way, France just elected a Socialist president and then they gave him an overwhelming majority in parliament, too. Scandinavia isn't fairing too poorly, either. Even Germany is very Socialist. Most of the Mullahs on PF are, in fact, from Europe and they enjoy Socialism's and liberal democracy's gifts while cursing them with the same mouths that they feed.

On the other hand, Saudi Arabia is still executing witches.

My Dear Brother of the failed People's revolution

Actually, once again its much more detailed than that. Robespierre himself stained the French revolution from the beginning - leading it astray and lighting a fire that would eventually consume him.

Stalin also cannot be blamed in this situation. You need to read the book written by the escaped leader of the Kronstadt Sailors who the Bolsheviks attempted to smear as a White agent. In the history of the Russian revolution, the Kronstadt sailors were pivotal to winning the revolution for the people. Their concern was that the elected local soviets have a major say in the evolution of that people's movement. This particular group, the Kronstadt sailors were essential to overturning the czar's order and pulling Russia out of the conflict that the industrialists, capitalists, and war mongers demanded it stay embedded in.

The early writings of Lenin and Trotsky and the communist poets shows clearly, that initially the Kronstadt sailors provided the fighting back bone for ensuring the foreign powers trying to stymie the revolution were held at bay.

Lenin and the Bolsheviks hijacked that revolution. One of the sparks for the sailors uprising was, amongst many wrongs done by Lenin's team, the utilization, by the pulitburo, of rural grown and processed grain stores in a major time of famine to feed the urban folks with little left over for the rural masses that grew these products.

Lenin in turn insinuated that the whites were behind the Kronstadt sailors who that self same Lenin had urged on to fight in the front lines and die in the droves just years before.

So I am sorry but Lenin was instrumental in destroying the legacy of the local Soviet chapters and staining Marxism.

With respect to why Lenin gets an ism named after him:
If Marx's word was like the word of a "god" small g notable here, Lenin was the instrumental "prophet" small p notable here, demonstrating for subsequent generations the "dark sunnah" of how to apply god's word within the Slavic realm.

The problem with the contention you make is even more applicable to Marxism than it is to Islam. The Majlis of Abu Bakr and Umar was an entirely different matter than the "majlis" of Lenin. The people's revolution had already been completed by Muhammad himself. If anything, the current deep textual criticism and interrogation and subsequent respect developed by Uwe Bergmann and others for the preservation of the Quran in the most current studies takes direct aim at the only main splinter group, the shiites with respect to their claims of Abu Bakr tampering with that sacred constitution. Their conclusion? Exegesis, textual criticism, manuscript examination shows nothing of the sort. If anyone usurped that revolution, mayhap, Muwaiyah the first may have contributed.

Also, the French brand of socialism, with a great amount of private ownership still possible, is a far cry from from the shariah of Lenin which, when applied in uzbekistan led to the scrawling on the mosque walls: There is no God and Lenin is his Prophet.
That cannot be pinned on Stalin. That is a mentality as well.

I have nothing against Communism according to the red book the Communist Manifesto. Do I want Muslim countries to be Communist? NO Point is communism and Islam can never go together, and the best government for Muslim countries is Sharia, plain and simple. The oil wealth of Muslim countries gets to belong to the people, and leaders are all held accountable. Right, now almost 95% of Muslim countries do not have Sharia governments, and injustice is happening in all of them.

In regards to your statement about most of the Mullahs on PF living in Europe, well there is a simple reason for that. If the West goes and interferes throughout the Middle East, South Asia, Central Asia, etc, etc, propping up dictators/having wars to steal the resources of oil and what not from these lands, then I hardly think a family made poor by such actions does not have the right to travel to the West and utilize their system of education. Thats the least they could expect dont you think?

I would say that thats nothing really compared to the fact that the West lives off OIL/and other resources which comes from the lands of the East (Muslim nations produce a lot of OIL).

Dont blame the Mullah for being in the West. Whatever benefits of education/lifestyle are all linked to the OIL of the East mostly.

And yes, we all want this OIL theft to stop (Im sure you can agree on that).

When that happens, then your question of why are the Mullahs living in the West will be credible, but its not now.

Why did the US/UK back the coup of Mossadeq in Iran?
