Thank you for posting this wonderful picture.

More pictures of Bachaa Khan would be appreciated.
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".

"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".

all that this picture says to me is that he was a humble man. I like people who don't constantly bite their nails from the fear if of how they are perceived by the society. Very few like him around which is why he was exactly why we need someone like him as a leader.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

He may be humble but he was utterly stupid for participating in polytheist customs. Participating in customs that are specific to polytheists is a grave sin. It can lead to expulsion from the fold of Islam.

A leader of Muslims shouldn't do this.

I like people who don't constantly bite their nails from the fear if of how they are perceived by the society.

Actually Ghaffar Khan did this because he cared about how he is perceived by the society.

If he really didn't care about what society might think he would have not participated in these customs as they are in contradictions to the teachings of Islam.

The Prophet Muhammad sal allahu alayhi wasalam ordered the Muslims on many occasions to go against the customs of the polytheists and disbelievers because Allah's curse is upon those who associate partners with Allah.

Very few like him around which is why he was exactly why we need someone like him as a leader.
We need a leader who is firm on his convictions as a Muslim.

Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allâh, And those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves.

Well, being greeted by a Hindu is not a big issue. But we have to see a person's ideology and whether he accommodates the holy Quran his manifesto or not ?
If he goes against the teachings of the holy Quran then he is of no use whether he Mr. Eisntien or Mr. Gandhi or any other big leader. Then his a piece of fuel in the eyes of Allah if I am not wrong.

shamley the smile on his face says that being humble made him genuinely happy and that he was not pretending to make other.
Which Muslim leader of today is firm in his convection?? Leadership requires for one to have heaps of patience, communication skills and kindness. Those are not the attributes of the muslim leaders of today. It's not as much about worshipping God as it is about convincing others that you do. Kind of difficult to lead a troubled nation with your nose stuck up in the air.

You're speculating about his smile? He wasn't a Hindu, and what he is doing is not part of his culture or religion. He is participating in this custom purely to satisfy his Hindu hosts. Which is proof for his lack of character and dignity. Not humility.

Let's assume all Muslim leaders have sold out. Should we therefore neglect the principles of our religion? Its like saying: "well, nobody prays Fajr in the masjid anymore, so neither should I".

Leadership requires for one to have heaps of patience, communication skills and kindness.
Leadership requires much more than that. Not bending over backwards to please people is one of them.

The best leader in history of mankind was Muhammad Mustafa ibn Abdullah sal allahu alayhi wasalam. We learn leadership skills from him.

Did he ever compromise? Did he ever participate in pagan rituals so that people would accept him as a leader?

                      "was"
What about now?? Was is not helping anyone now. What we need right now is peace and order. And it does not matter who it's provided by. Once that is provided, then you can focus in strengthening people's faith if you must. Otherwise it's just a freaking circus that leads no one to nowhere.

btw i dont like when peopel call him frontier gandhi.
gandhi was a british slave and served in the raj army.
Ghaffar Khan was schooled by Missionaries and was a military man for the British Raj.

                        Read his biography.

I dont mind him being refered to as Frontier Gandhi. I do mind when he is called Nonviolent Soldier of Islam. Because he was never a soldier of Islam. He was a soldier of secularism and stupidity.

To me a Hindu who is helping the mankind is much closer than a Muslim who is not doing anything for the mankind.
