If Afghanistan wishes for any Confederation, then it should make it with Iran rather than Pakistan as i have heard that afghans are iranic people so the combination may click.
But basically i am against the joining of Afghanistan with any country. Why Afghans has to join another country for the sake of their economic progress and betterment? Why not self-reliance and self-confidence? .Millions of afghans in pakistan iran and west should return back to their country and help it in standing on its own legs. At the moment Afghanistan needs nothing else but its own people.

Malgariya, things are moving in this direction whether Pakistan likes it or not. The erstwhile assets of the Taliban and the sectarian Southern Punjab outfits are turning on the state itself. The things have moved from FATA being called the hub of international terrorism to SOuth Punjab being the new target. The International community has rightly seen Pakistan for what it is, a terrorist safe haven. Soon, the very viablity of the PAkistani state will be under the question, evn now it is.Originally posted by shlombayThat is impossible now though
Secondly, the 63 years of oppression by the Pakistani establsihment has left deep cracks within the Pakistani state structure and brough the internal contradicitions of the state to the fore. BAlochistan is practically in an insurgency. The 14th of August is a strike day, even in Quetta. The Balochs have taken up arms against the state. Harbyar Marri has taken up the issue of Balochistan on the international scene. Sindh is slowly waking up to the Punjab (Media-Generals-CJ Chaudhry) conspiracy against the PPP govt. If ever, the Generals were to intervene against the PPP, LArkana would be the first to gun for Sindhudesh. Pashtuns are a different case than both Sindhis and Balochs as they have been at the forefront of an international strategic game for 30 years (even 60 years). But even among Pashtuns the issues of identity, language and the treatment of Pashtuns by the Pak Army are now major talking points. Surely, you cant have 19 operations against Pashtuns in Central Pakhtunkhwa and then hope for no subliminal negative effects.
The issue of unification of Pakistan and Afghanistan is not viable, even unthinkable. The Indus is a natural border between the Central Asian/Iranic peoples and the Indics. Loy Afghanistan has had a historical presence and was a major regional power. Secondly, It would be unfair to detach Punjabis and Sindhis fromt heir brethren in India and amalgamate them in Loy Afghanistan.
That being said, the issue, concerns and hopes of the masses are the same whether they be Punjabis., Pashtuns or Balochs. The Central Asia, I think, must be the new battleground between the global imperialism and the working peoples of the world due to its energy and natural resources. Therefore, I forsee a Central Asian Union led by a Socialist Loy Afghanistan standing up against the global imperialism and neo-colonialism through the strength of the unity of the working classes and abundance of resources.

Nazia, you must understand that Pakistan is a police state. It has indoctrinated a false 'Pakistaniyyat' into the Pashtun masses through massive state-sponsored propaganda through education, Mutaliya-ye Pakistan (Pakistan Studies), the media (PTV, Nawa ye Waqt) and through the clergy using Islam as the go-to point in case of the predictable lack of logical and historical evidence. Give me such state propaganda and patronage and I swear I will make Hitler equivalent of the Macabees for the Jews. Furthermore, there has always been a body of Pashtuns, especially in Hashnagar and Quetta, who have always stood for Milli Wahdat. Mashar Mahmood Khan Achakzai has made it clear to Islamabad that the Pashtuns will only remain in Pakistan if they enjoy equal rights. He said 'Ka zama pa haq ghukhtano Pakistan matigi, khday de da mazeegar makhaam baang na makhke maat krhee'. (If giving Pashtuns their due rights means Pakistan should disintegrate, I pray that it disintegrates before the sunset). Once the Afghan Republic gains even more stability, the tide will turn in no time towards Afghanistan.Originally posted by naziaBLS,

Malgariya, I am not your normal Mutaliya Pakistan infested subhuman. You need to do better than this.Originally posted by pakistaniCan you please stop spreading your nonsense. What do you mean we are a police state?
We are an Islamic superpower that 170million people love a lot. our military is 40 percent Pashtun. we have had pashtun presidents. No one wants to be part of war-torn Afghanistan.
Afghanistan depends on us.
Pakistan is no Islamic state. It has murdered 3 million Bengalis in 1971 raping 1 lakhs Moslem women in the process.
It has been involved in the killing of 2.7 million Pashtun/Afghan ssince 1979.
It has killed thousand sof innocent Balochs in 5 operations, 1948, 1959, 1962, 1974, 2006.
Pakistan has killed more Moslems in the past 62 years than India, US and Isreal combined.
This is plain falsehood. At most 17% of the army is Pashtun and that does not mean that the Pashtuns are equal partners in Pakistan. The British Army was made up of 99% Indians. Did that mean that the Indians were free and equal to the British. But I guess, the word Freedom mean nothing to you Indics. Zakir Hussain was the Indian President for 10 years. APJ Abul Kalam was for 5 years. Does that mean that in India Moslems and Hindus are equal ( Infact they are, but not by your line).
War-torn Afghanistan? Is the material development the only issue upon which to decide your loyalties? The British developed India and Pashtunkhwa more than the Pakistani govt? Why did we fight for our freedom? Oh look who I am talking to?, A Pakistani, a perpetual slave.

A namak khor (Even that is up for discussion. Pashtunkhwa has given more in resources to Pakistan than it has recieved. Only the water royalty debt is about 250m Rs)I maybe, but I am not a Qaam Kharsey. To you namak may be more important, to me, Khaawra or Qaam is of immensley more importance. ( A saying of Comrade Shaheed Bhagat Singh I guess.)Originally posted by pakistaniI am not a slave. What you are doing is what many others namak khors do. They make money in Pakistan and still badmouth us. I am a proud Pakistani pashtun. I love my country. Are you mad because ISI serves for Pakistani interests? Just like how CIA and FBI serves for American interests?
you are making silly claims with no source or proof. you are not bringing any credible argument to the table.
Afghanistan needs LOY PAKISTAN. we have more Pashtuns in Pakistan as compared to Pakistan.
As I said, there is no such thing as a 'Pakistani Pashtun'. The two are in contradiction to each other. Their interests are at odds and irrevocably so.
I don't mind ISI persuing Pakistan's interest ('Pakistan's interest' is also debatable), I just dont want the Pashtuns and Balochs to be at the wrong end of it, which they have been for the past 63 years.
And as for sources and proof, you just need to take this huge step of looking beyond Mutaliya-ye Pakistan and PTV/Kashmir Media Cell to find the facts.
LOL. LOY Pakistan? What loy Pakistan? Malgariya, the USSR is no more. The need of the imperalists for Pakistan is over (is it, BLS and Other sane persons?). Pakistan is on its last legs. Denial is not going to help you.
Have you been watching Zaid Hamid, pakistani?

Iranic is an anthropologic term like slavic or semitic. It encompasses people who speak iranian(iranic) languages, and/or descend from Iranian(iranic) tribes. We Pashtuns are also iranic people and speak an eastern Iranian(iranic) language). In fact after farsi, pashto is the most important of the iranic languages, and in terms of grammar the most archaic. Don't confuse academic terms with modern day nation states. 20-30 % of Iranian population is turkic azeri and 90 % of their dynasties post Islam were turkish descent.Originally posted by Luffy View PostIf Afghanistan wishes for any Confederation, then it should make it with Iran rather than Pakistan as i have heard that afghans are iranic people so the combination may click.

Honestly,
you were given the choice.
If you are Pashtun living in Pakistan and you consider yourself Afghan.. because, you know you fled there from Afghanistan, that is perfectly fine. Khoday mu rawala wrono au Khoando, Khoday de Azaadi darkih, inshAllah.
If you are Pashtun living in Pakistan and you consider yourself Pakistani..
Pakistanyyat mu mubarak!! It's also perfectly fine, your life and your choice. Just because we Afghans disagree with it, doesn't mean we can stop you from.. you know, selling your souls to the enemy etc.
BUT if you consider yourself Pakistani, kindly stay out of Afghan affairs and please refrain from telling us how to run our country - the country that you have deliberately turned your back to, the country you badmouth and the country you insult by announcing your Pakistanitob. As a Pakistani, you should have other concerns.. rather than worrying about what language our president communicates with us in. =)

Tell me what you think of the two countries unified. We can call it
"United states of Asia" The two of us.
Dont tell me Punjabis will be ruling us ok. That is not going to happen. We will be 50 million. Our ladies have 5-10 children. In a decade our population will be increasing. Our birthrate is high. We are getting educated.
Please tell me what you think. I encourage our scholars to participate and tell me If my idea is absurd. I just want to see my brothers unified.
I am getting sick and tired of our disunity. We pashtuns are one!
LARAWBAR YAW AFGHAN.
Mazgha de kar kawee? Bekhi rogh jor ye? United states of Asia, what you are talking about?
History will see, that Durnaldine will be removed sooner or later, it just need time and no one can stop tides of time. How it will happen, no one knows, only the time knows. Ya for sure, awakened nations do it as per their wish, and with sleeping nations it happened as the time wish.
See the nature has provided strong boundries in the form of river indus and river oxus for Pashtoons, and nature will decie it again.

I agree with your post. I am a Pakistani Pashtoon. I think if someone says, we are Pakistani, and proud to be a Pkaistani, then leave Afghanistan, going to Helll or developing. However, if you think, it was the brutality of history and time and it happened, then ok, struggle and do not put the idea into waste of reunification of Pashtoons.
Why Bacha Khan baba prefer to be burried on the other side of Durnaline.

I did not find the post of a Pkaistani calling Afghanistan war torn.
I dont know if he is a Pashtoon. If he is, then he must be a son or daughter of an army officer, as army officers in pakistan have no race, they just belong to army. I am a Pakistani pashtoon, and pashtoon unity is my strong wish.
How he is abusing afghanistan in this forum.

I agree, mayana you are looking at things in a very simplified situation. Just like you throw a pashtun in pashtunkhwa in such a predicament, he/she can remind you that Pashtunkhwa was sold out. We didn't choose to be split from Afghanistan, but we were leased out. Even then we fought in the third anglo-afghan war. Hec, FC troops under british command deserted their ranks to fight alongside the Afghan national army.Originally posted by erlangner View PostI agree with your post. I am a Pakistani Pashtoon. If Pashtunkhwa people were given a fair choice in 1947, of course they would have united with their brethren. However, geo-strategic issues dictated our division. Instead of condemning millions, we should look internally at our faults on both sides of the durand. Start from the basics and eventually our unification will be a reality. It is not rational, that Pashtunkhwa can act against the interests of Afghanistan (vice versa). We are too dependent on one another, that even if there was bad blood, mere interests would dictate our cooperation. The fact that we could not avail such an opportunity shows our lack of character and political will as a nation. We should get out of this narrow mindset that oh if you consider yourself so and so then you can't be something else. It isn't a badge you can tag people with. Bottom line, we should start working together and recognizing our joint interest, pakistanae afghanistanae are just filler.
Also if there are certain pashtuns that are more loyal to the king than the king himself, then they are problem not only for Afghanistan, but for Pashtunkhwa as well. It is not as if these army pathans have done Pashtunkhwa any favours.
