They are getting even bolder. I heard they have moved to colleges now. They blew up a college in Jamrud. Its interesting to note how the taliban became more and more fanatical as time passed. From having women members of the taliban they went rolling down a steep hill. First acid in women's faces, cutting the fingers of women, bombing of schools, now bombing of colleges, beheading 'spies'... there is no limit to how far these animals can proceed.

More proof we shouldn't have interfered in 1980's just like we shouldn't have interfered in #Afghanistan now.

                    MODS should take notice.

                    you are Parroting propaganda

you people can try all you want to demonize muslims but on the ground you are considered filth by both pakistanis and Afghans.
You are funny? How did I call Muslims/Pashtuns animals. I called the Taliban animals...true but I don't think the Taliban are muslims after they flog innocent women in public, rape, pillage and kill. They have deviated from Islam.

Whether you agree or disagree with the outlook of the Taliban, I am not quite sure what your credentials are to write them off as non-Muslims. If every Muslim who was capable of behaving in a non-Islamic fashion either by intention or by accident was suddenly non-Muslim by his/her minute actions, then forget the Taliban, but Pakistan and the entire Ummah would turn apostate within seconds.

There are Muslims who have a different interpretation and there are Muslims who are misguided, but that does not mean they are non-Muslim.

I am not a Taliban apologist, incidentally, but Shadowgovernor makes a point when he says you are quite likely parroting propaganda and here is the key. When we consider who is being hunted down by foreign forces and vilified in the media and we consider who is being represented in the cartoons, then we cannot escape the reality that more widely it is Pashtuns who are being marginalised. There are Pashtuns of different views too; some sympathetic to the Taliban, others less so. I may be outraged by the actions of Americans or the Taliban but to use the label 'animal' is a wide brush-stroke.

I apologize for using the word 'animal'... and I was replying to him. He referred to me as a non-muslim which forced me to express my views about the Taliban.

Your point is valid but you need to explain this to shadowgoverner who believes Islam is his personal property and he can declare anyone a Non-Muslim as if he is Caliph.

Of course Pashtuns are being marginalized but the Taliban are becoming a part of the very process of marginalization. Revenge against the Americans or not they are killing locals. 9/10 of the people the Taliban has murdered have killed are Afghan or Pakistani and almost all Pashtuns. How can we even for a second assume these people are doing something good for us? War is inevitably affecting the locals. Someone has to stop it!

I edited the post and removed emotion from it... do remind me if my post is going in an emotional direction Tor Khan... I am very young and can be prone to emotional outbursts in a debate.

I wonder how can you write the Taleban off as Pashtuns and then using that premise complain of Pashtun marginalization. Who by the way are the real cause of Pashtun marginalization? I wonder how could you feel that empathy for those that blew up schools to keep our kids deprived of education though you would go to any corner of the world to find comfort for your own kids.

Do you also think Swat flogging video was fake?
