        Mr. "Apologetic Paki",

        that´s what your own media broadcasted.

        And it is common knowledge that wikileaks hasn´t manipulated any information they had gathered.

        Stick to the topic.

          Mostafa jana, Shehbaz Khan is our brother but it seems as though he is suffering from Pakistan's national disease: Denial.

          Even if Hamid ghul said it in front of Shehbaz Khan, he would deny it.

            Zalmiya wrora,

            I have read many of his murtad-like comments in the last 6-7 months.

            I don´t know about others but I don´t consider him as a fellow "Pashtun brother".

                You can't blame him. Cognitive science backs this up very lovely.

                When a child, at a very young age is indoctrinated with ideologies such as "Pakistan is the leader of the Muslim world" or "Pakistan was made for Muslims", it's obvious that if a Pakistani leader says something that would negate their teachings, they would dismiss it or better yet find a reason to dismiss it. They are even brainwashed during their Islamiyat class, where they paint Pakistan as the leader of the Muslim world. It's predicate logic for them. Simply true or false. No middleway, anything bad = false.

                I mean, can you imagine not standing up for the Pakistani anthem? or not reciting it? I'll be honest, in the USA you do not have to stand for the anthem. Uff, oh, could you imagine someone in Pakistan not standing in the assembly line, where they yell "Stand at ease!!!" Time for the anthem? A few shots to the butt is what we can expect, or possibly a snuff. I've seen it with my own eyes.

                In a more simple way:

                Let P be Pakistan.

                P: P!=Wrong.

                If( P==Wrong)--> Deny, Deny, Deny!!

                This is a South Asian problem*. Institutions don't teach these kids how to properly reason, or think, which is why they trail so far below Europe and USA in innovation, or forward-thinking.

                *Not all South Asians suffer from this problem, albeit a large majority do.
                Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

                A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

                For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

                The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

                  You mean before Islam arrived in modern day Afghanistan, Pashtuns weren´t Pashtuns because they weren´t Muslim but something else?

                  Their culture, language and habits etc didn´t exist?

                  And what do the categories of ethnicity and religion have to do with each other?

                              It is debatable whether Hamid Gul said that or not, and if he did say it, then what was the context? Did he mean the illegal Najibkhar government -that 'government' that invited the Soviets as some champions of that war put it? and in the process murdered millions of Afghans. Because capitals usually refer to the present government, illegal or not, in place. Secondly, Hamid Gul today has been staunchly opposed to the US-led war in Afghanistan as well as Pakistan's support for the US-led war, support that is critical to the continuation of the war. He is allegedly behind the latest and apparently successful efforts to make the closure of the supply routes permanent, and continue to put pressure on the so-called 'leaders' to stop the drone attacks and end Pakistan support for the US-led war. Does anyone object to that?
