Let's not look at it with a political or so "deep" perspective. The Taliban and Alqaeda did not "invite" the Americans all the way from the other continent to pee on their dead bodies. Al quada is a reaction to US involvement in the persian gulf namely saudi and iraq. History did not start with al quada or the taliban. The root of the problem is much deeper.

Humans are more emotional when crimes are done by outsiders. For example, Americans were very upset when 911 happened, they put all their resources together to get one man, but when something like the oklahoma city bombing was done by one of their own, people are not as emotional and actually start questioning what is wrong with thier own society that one of their own would do something like this. When Afghans are doing crime agaisnt their own, Afghans would question what is wrong with their own society and would work to correct it, but that cant happen when foreign guns are running around loose in the country.
There is a different reaction to domestic crimes vs crimes done by outsiders.

Its due to these Taliban and Al Qaida that these Yanks came to Afghanistan in the first place. Mullah Omar with ISI turned Afghanistan into a safe haven for global militant groups from the Libyan Islamic group to the Punjabi Taliban.

If America had not came, other countries would have eventually had a enough of Mullah Omars Jihadists policies towards providing shelter to terrorists.

India and Russia and other Central Asian bloc including the Chinese would have had enough of the militant attacks on their soil due to groups in Afghanistan and would have striked Afghanistan.
