  • TTP kills Swat peace leader in Karachi

KARACHI- Militants belonging to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Swat chapter January 5 killed Seed Ahmed Khan, Karachi West district president of Awami National Party (ANP), an ANP official told Central Asia Online .

Khan, who was from Manja village, Tehsil Kabal, Swat, was killed in an attack on his house in the Metroville area, Zaman Chagarzai, an ANP district spokesperson, said, adding that that one of the attackers was shot dead by a police guard assigned to Khan.

The killing of Khan caused tension in Pashtun-dominated areas of the city, as people took to the streets and blocked roads.

Saifullah, head of Nekpikhel peace jirga of Kabal Tehsil, confirmed Khan's death and said that the dead gun man was identified as Aminullah, a close aide to Maulana Fazlullah and a resident of the Totano Bandi area.

“We condemn Khan’s murder and will not allow such dark forces (Taliban) to destroy the peace of the valley,” he said.

In April, Central Asia Online reported that TTP Swat militants hiding in Karachi, were taking advantages of ongoing ethnic violence to kill their rivals in the city, and that most of those targeted and killed were anti-Tailban elders and pro-government political and social figures.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

        I am good thank you.
MQM is a secular killers' party ruling Karachi killing Pashtuns and whoever comes against them.
In Pakistan if a mosquito killed, the blame is put on taliban. Later on when the matter is investigated, it comes someone else. So Taliban is an easy target for the govt and security forces to put blame on and get rid of the whole case.

Yeah I mean, not to absolve anyone, but I would have thought that TTP is able to hit harder in the northwest of the country... wouldnt it be laskhar e taiba down in Karachi if religious militants did this? It makes little sense.

Correction............ Its Lashkar e Jhangvi and not Lashkar e Taiba.
Lashkar e Taiba is a different group, they are not involved in inside millitancy.

TTP are a cancer and a disease. I saw these bigots in DI Khan holding hands with men carrying rifles as if they are something to be respected. They kidnap professors and especially Shia kids and ask for ransom. They are criminals just like their Afghan counter parts.

ANP has been target of these bigots for quite some time because the ANP has been very strong against Taliban-Style-Sharia. ANP is the only voice for a peaceful and secular Pakhtunkhwa without the backwardness of the Jamiet types from Afghanistan and Pakistani Madrassahs.

The TTP have been sending little boys to blow themselves up all the time at ANP political events while Imran Khan is spared since he is considered a Ghazi al Emir to these TTP.

If only a decent and modest intelligence agency could infiltrate these people, have their leaders and core commanders removed from this world, and some how direct them away from the path of Pashtun destruction maybe we will see some hope.

However, TTP will always be considered a terrorist organisation first implanted by the ISI through Nek Wazir to reorganise their proxies and assets to meet a Yankee withdrawal.
