Yes, Imran had explicitly stated that he wants to help the US exit Afghanistan and the region

He has said this a number of times

There are many articles in this

nice pics shahbaz, the baby one is cute.
Obama did everything he said he would

He said he would escalate wars, and he did it

He did not mislead anyone, people supported what he said

Likewise, I'm sure Imran will do everything he said, end the war in Afghanistan, clean up and get rid of corruption, and stop all Western aid

The guy has a brain, and it will be a lot of work

          But nothing comes easy

I spoke to him many years ago, and asked him how he plans to get rid of corruption and feudalism, and he said he would empower the courts,

I guess he would look for proper judges

On Afghanistan, his policy is very clear, and he will achieve it- no foreign occupation of Afghanistan as that is the source of instability

What is Imran Khan'a vision after the US/NATO leave Afghanistan? Does he support total Taliban dominance of Afghan government or will he support a broad coalition of Afghan parties?

Imran khan's supporters are mostly the youth and Most of the youth in Pakistan are not registered for votes... But he will get some big amount of votes from some hidden hands like we saw "in the 2008 elections in which about 40 Million votes were fake" (a report presented by the election commission of Pakistan.

He says Afghans should talk it out, all Afghans

His sticking point is that there can be no US presence in Afghanistan as there will be no peace or stability

He has said there has to be talks between all groups

He is going to be Pakistans next pres, and by doing so is getting rid of stooges. He is opposed to the stooge gov in Kabul too

He has been one of the biggest opponents of Pak Army and their operations in FATA and their support for US war

It is doubtful he will want to have anything to do with any part of this era of stooges, so he will not be warm to Karzai

He says everything but never to forget that his thread are in the hands of isi and army as usual to any Pakistani rulers so he will not be able to do anything regarding changing his policy about Afghanistan, giving justice to the people, eliminating corruption.

From what I have heard from him, he seems to be of the opinion that, the Taliban and other anti government groups are the represntative of Afghan people's struggle. He diffrentiates between Afghan Taliban and Taliban based in Pakistan. He always praises Afghans as great muslims warriors and courageous people who are fighting kurfr. But why does he oppose groups in pakistan who want to bring sharia to pakistan? Is he deameaning the pashtuns of pakistan when he says Afghans want sharia so they support Taliban but pakistani pashtuns don't want sharia and oppose Taliban?

I hope if he supports Taliban after NATO leaves, he should also support Taliban's vision of bringing sharia to pakistan and whole of muslim world. The vision of Taliban is restoration of khalifat and liberating muslim ummah from western slavery and corrupt leaders. Their primary goal is Afghanistan then pakistan and then central asia and so on. I hope Imran Khan will keep supporting them when they cross the border from liberated Afghanistan to impose sharia in Pakistan. Let's wait and see if he will betray Taliban like Musharaf did when big daddy America made a few threats.

Well that theory of yours which is also one spread by pro US Pakistanis happens to contradict facts

Imran Khan has been a huge opponent if the Pak Army and their operations in FATA. He has opposed Pak support for US war.

He opposed Musharraf and refused a PM spot with Musharrad

Doesn't look like a guy who is pro-army to me?

                        Musharraf imprisoned Imran years ago

He went against Musharraf, the man in charge of everything at the time

Who do you consider to represent Afghanistan?

Afghanistan needs talks and a proper government, not a stooge one

These Western Afghan expats who are mostly corrupt nobodies should start packing their bags. They are not going to find a friend in Imran, and he is not going to support their illegal war
That question was directed at Shahbaz, but since you are also of the opinion that Imran Khan can make his own decisions, i will answer your concerns..

The government of Afghanistan should be represented by all the people of Afghanistan through shura council. Taliban should not be the only option. I would prefer a model similar to the iranian majlis but the sunni version of it with slight modifications. Mullahs should stay mullahs and only advice and direct people. people should be selected based on their ability to do a certain job. A mullah from some village can not be made the minister of finance. mullahs and alims should be there to make things clear for people and give adivce sincerely and not hijack power for themselves. mullahs should be kept in check by another independent body and those mullahs who give fatwas and rullings contradictory to islam should be sacked.

What Imran Khan said throughout that 'We should not use force against the Talibans, that's it. We must talk to them' Today even the US is saying the same.

which Taliban? TTP or Afghan Taliban.

Taliban themselves don't make a distinction between themselves. They say mujahideen fight under different parties and names but our leader is Mullah Omar. So is Imran Khan willing to tolerate TTP's vision of brining sharia to the whole of Pakistan? what are his views regarding punjabi Taliban?
