Kayani rejects US demand for action in N Waziristan: report -

Islamabad, Aug 11 (PTI) Pakistan''s Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has rejected US'' demand for launching a military offensive against militants in North Waziristan, saying it was for the government to decide the timing of such an action, a media report said today.

US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter had yesterday called on Kayani and exchanged views on the strained US-Pakistan relations, The Nation daily said quoting diplomatic sources.

While Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said it had no knowledge of the meeting, the daily said the US envoy who met Kayani on his request discussed the challenges both the countries were facing in improving bilateral relations.

Kayani "ostensibly" rejected the ambassador''s demand for military action against militants in North Waziristan on the plea that any military action has to be decided by the government, the report said.

A report on a TV channel said that Cameron also lodged a complaint regarding Islamabad''s move of putting curbs on inter-city movement of US diplomats.

Meanwhile, four officials of US Embassy in Islamabad were sent back to Islamabad when they tried to enter Peshawar city without an NOC and other relevant documents.

Four US diplomats attempted to enter Peshawar yesterday using two vehicles.

However, police officials at a Peshawar toll plaza sent them back to Islamabad as they did not hold the required documents for entering into Peshawar, including an NOC, The Nation said.

in that case, if they start another war against Pashtuns, the whole of Pakistan will suffer.

They will not do this operation ever because the blowback is irreversible, and very very severe.

Pashtuns in the FC will split from Pakistan. Major lines will be drawn.

These lines can not be crossed even now.

This guy is retard, he just gives mottos and try to emotionally blackmail people using the good name of Islam and sometimes nationalism. If Pakistan want these Taliban will be history in 3 months.

                  ^^^^

Pakistani army is so great, that it will only take them 3 months to beat the Taliban? Maybe they should train ISAF, cause their still fighting them 10 years later.

If only ISAF could enter Pakistan’s goose that gives gold eggs—FATA.

                        ^^^

Even if ISAF goes to FATA, that doesn't do anything. As the Taliban still controls swaps of land all over Afghanistan.

Entering FATA will only give them more recruits, and legitimaze their movement.

I think ISAF should go to Persia, as those Parsibans are the real threat.

                          ^King Khan bro,

I have to correct you. Iranians in Iran want the US to leave. I have also met many Tajiks from Tajikistan. There is currently a re-awakening of Islam there, and they also want the US to leave Afghanistan. These are all educated individuals/students I have met. People who could be considered moderate.

The poison in Afghanistan is posed from these seculars who have been educated abroad, and instead of helping with infrastructure of the country, have come to Afghanistan hand in hand with foreign armies, supporting war against the rest of the country.

These people have been doing this since the Soviets. Some of them are the same faces today.

It seems Parsibans like Daruish here, will love war to continue on Pashtun lands. He's hoping for it to expand do FATA (outside the already drones)

How would they like it, if war goes to them (Parsibans)?

Tajikistan already has banned children under 18 from attending mastoids. It's an official law, and violaters will/can be prosecuted.

Even recently, the US ambassador to Kabul, Ryan Crocker said he just wants to do a strategic proclamation (which means nothing), but Rangin Spanta is practically begging for a treaty that would allow the US to occupy the country forever.

This, we all know will never happen, No Afghan will tolerate this, and whoever signs anything is provoking themselves, and putting themselves at risk.
