A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

                  Yaggi,

what you are trying to say would make sense if you also implicated the US and Pakistan together in this war of aggression being waged against Pashtuns.

Separating them is pointless. Pakistan is as guilty as the US in this war against Pashtuns, but to allude the Afghans opposition to the US occupation as Pakistani-centric is purely ridiculous, .and out of touch with reality

To also follow the age old and cliched retort that this war was about terror is ignoring plain and simple facts. It was about geopolitics, and thats all.

They have both been part of the same coin. Yesterday, I met a Pakistani who was 100% supporter of the US war. he said that if the US leaves, Pakistan will be broken apart. He then went on to say that drone attacks are good even if they kill innocent people. His line of thought was that the innocent people are guilty for being in specific areas. He then told me that majority of Pakistani do not care about drone attacks. He did not like Pashtuns at all, although did not state it. True story.

Anyone who ever supports war against their own people is a criminal.

The fact is, every single Afghan besides those on the side of the foreign occupation is innocent.

Every Afghan knows Pakistan plays a double game, and wants Afghanistan to be a weak state. Believe me, every Afghan knows this.

At this moment, Afghans want to be free from the foreign occupation which is murdering Afghans on a daily basis and creating insecurity in the region.

The day Afghanistan is strong state is the day the Pashtuns will unite.

If you have a thief in your home, you first need to make sure that thief is out, then you worry about the other thieves .

In this world, you can not accomplish everything in one go. Everything is in steps.

Afghanistan will be free, and there will be peace, and Durrand line will be resolved.

Pakistan has supported the war in Afghanistan, and permitted drone attacks against FATA and KP.

There is no excuse at all. ANP has also supported drone attacks as well as the war in Afghanistan for your information. ANP are not nationalists.

the same ANP also supported the Soviets against Afghanistan. Not once have they been against war in Afghanistan.

The situation has always been complex and this is the result of the Durrand line, but right now Afghanistan needs to be free because Afghans can only live free.

April 6, 2011: Whitehouse reports criticizes Pakistani military for being ineffective (primarily in Waziristan, where the Haqqanis are hiding).

April 7, 2011: Pakistani army spokespeople report killing 50 people in Mohmand. No evidence is provided to prove that they were militants. No evidence is demanded by the Pakistani public and the Peshawari Pathans either.

Yet you still have so-called Pashtuns here who support all of this.
