As per loopy's loopiness, let this be ComradePashtun's dictum that Afghanistan stratigically and economically will hold the value of umbilical cord for that nation of 180 million sardines. Without Afghanistan, Pakistan will become the most isolated country in the world. We have border with 6 other countries. Afghanistan is extremely paramount for some very fundemental Pakistani economic ambitions if it is to become an industrial nation in today's world.

the paki army cant fight the indians, their own taliban, the americans, the baloch or anyone else worth a damn, but they can kill innocent afghans. bravo for them them, they take after their british mothers. There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Afghans infuriated by shelling from Pakistan
Plan to fence, mine Afghan borderISLAMABAD: Pakistan is seriously considering to ‘fence and mine’ some important parts of the Pak-Afghan border, in the wake of increasing incursions by militants from the Afghan side into Bajaur, Upper Dir and Mohmand tribal regions, knowledgeable sources told Dawn.
The plan has been there for some time and specific details were also worked out by the security establishment, but it was put on hold because of opposition from Kabul. However, recent incursions from across the Durand Line have made the authorities to consider reviving the project.
Heavily armed militants have crossed into Pakistan’s border more than four times in less than 25 days and clashed with Pakistan’s border forces.
In a recent attack by militants in Mohmand this month, the Pakistan Air Force had to be called in to recapture a post.
The clash led to the death of 25 militants while several Frontier Corps soldiers were injured. The military is concerned over the increasing infiltration.
“The insurgency from across the border is growing and we have already taken up the matter with Afghan officials but there appears to be no end to the incursions. A plan to fence the border is being discussed and a final decision will be taken by senior military officials,” an official told this correspondent.
The fencing and mining, he said, would be carried out at areas of strategic military importance. This, however, will not be the first time that such an exercise will be carried out. After 9/11, Pakistan did fence and mine parts of the 2,500km border after it was accused of failing to stop the Taliban and Al Qaeda militants from crossing over and taking refuge inside Pakistan. The official said the Afghanistan government had always been against fencing the border.
“Pashtuns living on the both sides still can easily cross the border after clearing a few security checks,” the official said.
Maj-Gen Athar Abbas, the spokesman for the army, told Dawn: “We did fence around 35km of the border area as it faced continuous militant incursions. It was a joint project of Isaf and Afghanistan. But then they backed out. It was a very costly project.”
When asked if fencing and mining of four strips along the border was being considered, he said: “Not to my knowledge.”

Border skirmishes hot up
Published: July 01, 2011
ISLAMABAD (Agencies) – The border skirmishes heat up as Afghan National Army fired three mortar rounds inside Pakistani territory at Angoor Adda in South Waziristan, while troops killed 40 militants emerged from Afghan side in Mohmand, sources said on Thursday.
No loss of life has been reported in the shelling from across the border. However, Pakistan has lodged protest for this unprovoked firing. Briefing media, a military commander said troops backed by jets and helicopter gunships have killed 40 militants in Mohmand area bordering Afghanistan in the past three days.
Brigadier Aftab Ahmad told AFP that his forces had destroyed 17 militant hideouts in the Baizai region under his command in the tribal area of Mohmand.
“Militants were regularly attacking our posts on the Afghanistan border at Shankaro and Mithai and also targeting goods vehicles going to Afghanistan,” he said.
Brig Ahmad claimed that security forces have strengthened their positions at strategic Shankaro check post and blocked the entry of militants into Mohmand Agency from the Afghan side of the border.
Ahmed said militants emerged from Afghan side of the common border and all of them were killed in the operation in which helicopter gunships also took part.
“Infiltration of the insurgents from the Afghan side into Pakistan’s tribal region has been completely stopped by regaining control over the Shankaro check post which is key spot to check movement of the insurgents,” the operational commander declared.
The area from Mithai Valley to Shankaro of Mohmand Agency, bordering Afghanistan, has been cleared of militants and during search operation hideouts of the insurgents were also destroyed, he said.
Brig Ahmad said the ground forces used heavy weaponry including artillery and tanks and targeted strongholds of the insurgents during the search drive which continued for three days ago.
“The operation was launched three days ago with the support of army aviation aircraft, helicopters and fighter jets,” Ahmad said.

KABUL — Public and political anger at weeks of cross-border shelling from Pakistan boiled over in Afghanistan, as protesters took to the streets of the capital, lawmakers demanded explanations from the central government, and a senior border police official submitted his resignation.
According to Afghan officials, more than 760 rockets have been fired into the eastern Afghan border provinces of Konar, Nangahar and Khost in the past six weeks, killing at least 60 people and wounding or displacing hundreds more.
Afghan officials, including President Hamid Karzai, have lodged formal objections with Pakistan’s government, but Pakistani officials have denied direct involvement in the attacks, saying they are being carried out by anti-Afghan militias beyond their control.
“The people carrying the bodies of their loved ones on their backs come to me. I am the responsible person here, but nobody is listening to my voice,” said Gen. Aminullah Amarkhel, chief of the national border police in eastern Afghanistan, who offered his resignation Friday in the past week in protest. He spoke by telephone to an Afghan TV news channel.
In downtown Kabul, about 200 demonstrators staged a peaceful rally Saturday outside the U.N. representative’s office, chanting, “Down with Pakistan, down with the Pakistani army, down with the ISI,” a reference to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence agency.
“The government must break its silence on these attacks,” said Najibullah Kabuli, a political activist who organized the rally.
In Parliament, the defense and interior ministers and the director of the intelligence police were summoned to explain the government’s position on the attacks, which have heightened bilateral tensions as Afghanistan is seeking Pakistan’s support for peace talks with Taliban insurgents, and as the Obama administration is set to begin a gradual withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan.
Interior Minister Bismillah Mohammadi told legislators that in several recent meetings, Afghan officials had shown Pakistani officials shrapnel, shell casings and ammunition as evidence of the attacks, but that “each time they shamelessly deny it.” He said he had told the Pakistanis, “You want to hide something as big as the sun with two fingers.”
Defense Minister Abdul Rahim Wardak also said diplomatic efforts had failed to stop the cross-border attacks. Afghanistan has long accused Pakistan’s military and intelligence services of supporting some Islamist militant groups, including those that seek to destabilize Afghanistan.
“This violation . . . has hurt the feeling of every son of this nation and necessitates an urgent reaction,” Wardak said. He urged the lawmakers to deliberate carefully but said that if he is ordered to respond militarily, “we will not spare our lives or whatever we have.”
Wardak speculated that the rocket attacks were in response to U.S. drone strikes on militant targets in Pakistan’s tribal border region. He also suggested they could be a test of NATO forces’ resolve and capabilities as they begin to withdraw from Afghanistan later this month.
Last month, a high-level delegation to Pakistan led by Karzai complained that Pakistan was providing havens for Taliban and other anti-Afghan militants. The group asked Pakistan to crack down on recalcitrant militants and encourage repentant ones to join the peace talks.
A spokesman for the national intelligence police told journalists that the government “totally rejects” Pakistan’s assertions that it has nothing to do with the recent rocket attacks. The spokesman, Lutfullah Mashal, said many of the recovered rockets were too heavy and sophisticated for guerrilla groups. “Only the army has them,” he said.
The United States is also pressing Pakistan to curb violent Islamist militancy within its borders, but Pakistani army and intelligence officials have faced a domestic anti-American backlash — including from within their own ranks — since U.S. Special Forces discovered and killed Osama bin Laden in a Pakistani city in May.

5 more death
I don't know if any of you guys been following this but from back home. 3 hours ago I just got a news that 5 more death, 3 children and 2 women in different villages due to intense pakistani military shelling. Although Afghans did fire towards Military base trying not to cause civilian casualties. But stopped according to the local Afghan police commander because Pakistan has been bombing both sides of durand and claim that rockets were fired from Afghanistan. This new allegation was soon rejected when Afghan police answered an elder from pakistan who brought rocket pieces to investigate because it injured his grand child said they don't carry Chinese made Pakistani brand of 1977.
If you guys think about it and research Pakistanis are making up stories of their 50 soldiers and 80 injured before launching special offensive to Kunar and Nangahar. Because now they claim its not them and then say "oh some rockets may have fell into Afghan soil accidental" then again when question rises to large number of rockets fired at civilians some Pakistani media Gov hired agencies blame USA and chant death to America. While opposition comes down with facts that if its really USA then also its Pakistanis who allowed their Air base such as Shamsi famously known as American base where American plan and non-pilot air plan were also spotted. Very ironically the shameless Pakistani PM making a big lies to their people and says "my government never allowed Americans to use Pakistani air base" lol was this guy drunk when Musharaf signed worth 3 billion dollar deal? Why not tell pakistani citizens that to date Pakistan has received more aid 20% more than in that of Afghanistan? Pakistan is owned as much as Afghanistan has been.
Well from what see as I always say regardless to whatsoever there is only one race that is considered loser in this war and that is Afghan race.Happy Ramadan everyone. 761 artillery shells fired into Kunar by the napak forces.
"My grandson was nine years old," said Juma Gul, a 60-year-old village elder in the Sirkanay district in eastern Afghanistan. "He and three other children were herding our goats when a rocket came. All four were killed. We could not find most of their bodies."
Pakistan has denied hitting Afghanistan intentionally, but acknowledged its military has been targeting Islamic militants to halt cross-border raids and that some rockets may have strayed off course.
During a two-hour visit to three mountain villages, an Associated Press reporter witnessed at least 50 artillery strikes. One rocket struck a mountain slope about five miles outside of the provincial capital, Asadabad.

The Afghan army aparently is already positioning and starting to respond now. Every person is talking about giving Pakistan a jaw-breaking response. If it was up to me, I would coordinate with India on some pincer movements and attacks. Fvck Pakistan up for a week and then ask let international community to interevene.
It would be fun if Afghanistan declare war against Pakistan.....
