  • what is nationlism?

O'faithful hearken thy vezir, for he promises them another Gandamak and for the ancestors of Hari Nalwa a similar fate has been sealed. We shall shake the foundations of their inner sanctums, written in gold and immortal will remain this endeavor of Afghans.

Arab/Pakistan ISI propaghanda. There is already a thread about this. To love ones people should not be prevented by abusing Islam for your own political gain and interests. If Palestinians have their own nationalism then why cant Pashtuns. Pashtuns and kurds and balochis are probably the only people without an true identity and i find it amazing how People still upload videos to mock Pashtun Unity.

There is a huge difference between loving your blood and claiming superiority over others! Those who can distinguish between the two are the men who rise through the ranks of nobel warriors in the pages of history and those who can't shall succumb as the ones before them have done so.

My two cents, take it or leave it.

I oppose being better than others, i oppose oppressing people, i oppose imperialising others and making myself feel better than others, I just support a Homeland for all Pashtuns, how can this be against Islam. I am a Pashtun, not a Nationalist, I want to fight for Pashtun rights, how can this be bad?

Nationalism is Politics always means fighting for your right. All human rights in a country ,state or a region.Any other context is a rather unrealistic expression of the concept. Pashtuns should always take nationalism in this context. It is waste of time to look into other aspects.

I share the same values. I despise nationalism but I have and will defend my people and their rights.

I know many Afghan Mellaties, infact too many of them. 9 out of 10 use the the ethnic card to rake in more dollars in their filthy pockets. They are not loyal to anything but money and power. Infact one of their leaders a Helmandi fellow in London has come in to alot of wealth all of a sudden, so while him and his sons drive around in luxury vehicles in and around London there are many Pashtuns being pounded with chemical weapons in Helmand, and he dares to call himself a Pashtun!? I know where that type of Afghans belong, the gallows.

You concern is genuine.Note that politics and electioneering process is necessarily a filtering and scrutinising process.I agree that there will be a lot of corrupt elements but maturity dictates that we support the democratic process and that is the only way to get rid of such elements. It is the weak institutions which are in reality responsible for the corruption in a society. The more the institutions are strengthened the less the corruption is and hence these elements are elminiated automatically. We cannot advocate chaos and anarchy on the basis of the the argument that that political parties or leaders and workers are corrupt hence there should be no political process.

Political process is only valid when a state's sovereignty is intact. If circumstances arise where sovereignty is compromised, then be assured through sound judgement and lessons from struggle and history that the very existence of a nation is dependant on two factors, determined men and unforgiving arms.

In the modern world due to the economic reality, the sovereignty of every nation is compronised in proportion to the amount of dependence it has on int'l fin. inst.we need to get rid of the utopian ideas. However Afghanistan is in the phase of transition and we cant aply neither the law of war nor peace so we should not be expecting a lot.

That is correct. That is why I support emancipation of Afghanistan from the wretches of IMF and AGA Khani entrapments. Indeed most human beings live in fantasy and lands that never were, making their own rules and legislations - we on the other hand are aware of the fruits of such rules and regulations hence we further our cause in the light of Quran and Sunnah.

Not every person who stands for Shariah is similar to your village Mullah, in this caravan you will come to see brothers well versed & acquainted with anthropology, world finance and other sciences.

Let it be known that laymen & shepherds in Afghanistan know what the guys at Harvard and Oxford have devised.

                        Handsome

This is your misunderstanding about nationalism.

Nationalism in Politics just means fighting for your rights. The rest of the things associated with it are misunderstandings of people due to lack of study.

Hence Afghan nationalism means fighting for the rights of Afghanistan, its people, land and resources. This is what Moses did for Bani Israel against Pharoah and Mohammad did for Bani Ismael against Quraish.

First of all ,you misunderstood what I said.I meant that in the today's world "every" state including US , has compromised some part of her soveriegnty to the Int'l financial institutions due to the global village and mutually interlinked nature of world community.

Yes you may wish to emancipate Afghanisatn from IMF and World Bank ,but it is not by banking upon O.I.C and Arab League or by preaching seventh century city state economics and politcs to the people of Afghanistan but by making Afghanistan strong using political awareness.

The sacred lands and state are themselves licking the boots of white man. They cannot help you except calling you ajami [which means animal [non vocal] in arabic] and give you some charity. And I prefer death [for them] over such a life [for me].

The fruits of the "rules and regulations" have been reaped by Arabs in the form of their imperialism after making you their begger in language, culture and identity. Now you need to make your own rules and relgulations based on your own earned and learnt knowledge and win a respectable position in history.

What our Islamist or call them pro arab friends are fantasising is just a utopian idea wich neither succeeded at that time fully nor will it ever succeed again. What is gone is gone with the wind. Time moves forward. History canot be replayed. Hence we need to get out of dreams.

Islam was used as a movement for empowring Arabs who were backward and bedoin people far from civilisation and it has done its job. Now instead of nostalgic fantasies you need to make history for your nation with what you have and what you own.

The Afghan shepherd if he understand what is taught in Harvard and Cambridge is good however it is not sufficient.Plato said a slave understands reason but possesses no.

I have heard many so called Islamic scholars in Pakistan who told me that its not Haraam to be oppressed by a fellow Muslim, and they called me a Nationalist and a insult to Islam. Islam has become too much of a Political tool to these ISI looneys!

Pashtuns deserve their identity and own homeland where our language is the national language and we control our own affairs, sadly, we are bombarded with all these litrature teaching us to stay away from our rights(in Pakistan).

Where is your evidence that is makes you racist?

Are the Palestinians racist for fighting for their own home land? what about the Kurds.

So you want to continue to live in this ISI fantasy world, where you are told if you speak up for Pashtuns, it makes you Unislamic.

When this Pakistan was never created, No pashtun would ever speak like this, buts its saddening how Mullahs and their Cheque writers the ISI like to bash Pashtuns who work so hard to establish our right and writ on our land.
