Peshawer was also used as a capital for Afghans.
Panjabis own them any way. It is beyond defeat, but a colony.

No value? KP/FATA is Afghanistan, the other half of it. Peshawer was a capital for half the year, and it's a burden now?

It's a good thing only fools have this opinion.

Ok, you tell me, what value does the FATA/KP have? One of the main reason the British Indian authority chose to not let it be independant was because it could not sustain itself economically and hence could be a strategic threat and could threaten the rest of India.

As for the capital, it had more or less to do with the kings enjoying warmer wheather there in winter. That is why it was called "winter" capital, not literal capital.

What value does it have? Are you serious. It's home to 25 million Pashtuns that's what value it has. It constitutes half of the real Afghanistan.

I didn't ask you for the number of people, what strategic and economic value does it have? Exactly, with little economic base those 25 millions contribute less to Pakistan than it takes from it, that is why cities like Karachi is swamped by migrants from KP and as a result there is economic civil war that is threatening the security and economic wellbeing of Pakistan itself and its financial hub.

Your views are not important, and nobody has this opinion (unless their Parsiwaans).

25 million people is a lot, If they get proper education and are not second class citizens skies the limit.

"Afghanistan has prospered so much in the last decade"
Yea in the drugs, corruption and Bacha Bazi market

Afghanistan will keep falling, until they wake up and recognize that they were stronger/smarter when KP/FATA were with them.

                          King Khan!

Yes call it what ever you want. Only some areas of Afghanistan are as bad as FATA. The rest has so much to offer and has prospered alot. Things are moving at breakneck speed in Afghanistan, all we need is security. Above all, Afghanistan's potential is as a country, with its strategic location being the land bridge and abundance of resources and relatively less population.

25 millions is alot of people for a region that has nothing to offer. That is why I said it is a strategic liability for Pakistan, look at the economic civil war in Karachi.

What value does number have? Forget about telling me if they could be educated in the future.

I think instead of fighting here with each other, we Pashtuns from Pakistan and Afghanistan better separate. It would be a good idea if Pakhtunkhwa Pashtuns move to www.pukhtun.com or any other forum (is there any forum out there?). That also has a good forum. At least, it will reduce some friction we see here.
