what are u talking about? besides some hotspots in the north and in central afg, the taliban completely controlled the areas under its control including kabul and was peaceful. there was little to no crime in these areas, but u are still using the "rapists" excuse as to why they couldnt open schools in these areas?

that was one of the major reasons they rose to power to begin with. Females were being raped (young girls) by criminals who were part of the factional fighting that took place. These religious students heard that two sexually abused children were held at a place. They went there, killed and hung the criminals from a tank, and took the children to hospital.

A movie one day maybe made about this.

The Taliban have existed since Mirwais neeka, it is tribal culture which city people did not like, but that is their problem because they have only produced criminals lackeys.

Heres a few things to think about:-

1) If the Afghan people supported the Taliban then where is not a huge mass of attacks on Government and Nato forces as we witnessed during the soviet war?

2) Why do the Taliban run away to Pakistan to avoid mass casualities and to hide in safe houses, why dont they hide in Afghanistan?

3)Why do "Pakistani" such as Hamid gul, Imran Khan, General Baig, Hamid Zaid, Col Imam, Khalid Khwaja, Mullah Saeed, the whole JUI-F all openly support the Taliban in Afghanistan, while not a single Afghan Politician has openly stated on TV or Public that they support the Taliban.

Unknownprince needs to experience some reality of the region. and Pakhtunkhwa is the best place as its infested with Taliban and ISI.

Look guys, go to Medina Colony in DI Khan and ask for the Abdullah Mahsud group, I actually have a photo of myself with one of their main commanders but I fear if i post it I would get into trouble, but these guys are all former Afghan Jihadi Units during both soviet and civil war units.

They are as Talib as Mullah Omar but as Pro Pakistan as Hamid gul.

I understan its traditional to post about ones' self prior to asking questions: I'm a 31 year old US Army Infantry officer fighting in East Paktika, Afghanistan. I found this website and was immediately impressed buy the level of discourse and civility on pretty divisive topics. My question relates to the distinctions that are drawn between "foreign fighters" entering into Afghanistan through Pakistan, vs. Afghan Taliban. In my line of work we typicallay don't take the time to draw these conclusions. But I am curious about how Pashtuns feel about these interlopers. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
