Faye, a Blackhawk is a medium-heavy lift heli. It can carry upto 20 lightly armed troops apart from the 2 member crew. So 24 heavily armed combat personnel can still easily fit into 2 Blackhawks. You can check here for more info.

They were new stealth ones based off old Balckhawk design. A Nighthawk essentially a blackhawk equipped for night missions. The one dangling might have looked small in the pic, but remember it was a 5.5m tall wall..!

As I said, they must have blown up a grenade inside it. The outside damage (lesser if the explosion was inside) may not be clearly visible in the pic.
