i laud you caty for taking the time and compassion to chastise and belittle me, for being so stoopid as to ask a question of muslims, about a muslim issue, on a forum of muslims, about a religion i am just beginning to learn about.Originally posted by Catya Sher View Post
Alchemist has a right to question faye on that truly nonsensical question.
She might think to phrase a question better before opening up mouth /new post.
I pretended not to notice and refrained from saying anything, but better for her to
spend much more time reading and learning, not asking kindergartner questions
of these guys whose time is very valuable.
They are smart, each in his own way with his own talents.
Have some respect for them.
i know you, yourself must be very busy, utilising your vast talents, to help organise the protest against the war in afghanistan, and making sure the white light is keeping you protected from evil. thank you for your charity and kindness.

I can't comment much on Waheeduddin Khan or Ubaidullah Sindhi but what you're saying about Shaikh Abdul Hassan Ali Nadwi is completely untrue.
He was actually a Pan-Islamist. much to your dismay,

Obaidullah Sindhi was a staunch secular nationalist with inclinations towards Indian National Congress [like Husain Ahmed Madani etc] , One of pioneers of "Reshmi Romal" movement and most authentic representative of Shah Waliullah's school of thought [Talfeeq bain al madhabil arba'a] whose philosophy enunciated the basic principles of secular state more philosophically in his Hujatullah Baligha , Al Buzurul Bazigha etc . [He was a person of the calibre that comparing , for example,a Saudi scholar like Shaikh Bin Baaz to Shah Waliullah will be comparing a KG child to a PhD scholar. He was given the honor of "Muhadith"]. For reference read Professor Mohammad Sarwar's compilations of Obaidullah Sindhi's works [on exegesis of the Quran] and his memoirs published by Sindh Sagar Academy.Originally posted by fzpz View PostNeither was Sindhi. Keep trying.
