Yes the hate between Indic race and Afghan race is obvious.Originally posted by ComradePashtun View PostPaki Pashtuns are too apologitic and weak. I can't believe some indics are doing this to Pashtuns. Growing up with Paki/Indians I used to take on 5-10 all on my own. I make their heart drop and faint on one strike. You guys are reduced to the likes of chargorrai/chargootai Sh"e"baz Khan etc. Even god hates be-hemat people. You people are too worried about your supplement of Dhaal and Chawal. At least stand and protest for your rights.
Its not the Indics are too strong and its nor that those Pashtu speaking people living in Karachi are too weak either, but its something in between. Its politics, as you noticed her son was working with politians. Sons like are have been amongst many others who are working or supporting ANP have died. Notice ANP election the most higest votes had always came from Karachi, and its ANP that should be doing something about this, not the whole lingustic people. However if it was an Ethnic war I am sure blood would of been spelled out of Karachi streets, as the Pashtuns are minority but they are still strong to defend themselves. Only if it wasn't matter of Politics.Happy Ramadan everyone. I am sitting in my shop in karachi and suddenly men on bikes come and killed me with firing. Tell me how can i protect myself from bullets, our bodies are just like other human beings. We are not supernatural.
A pashtun in karachi is labourer, shopkeeper, driver, watchman in a city where every thing is against him, a city of urduspeakers...when you are outnumbered then your position become weak.
but i have heard that when a mohajir comes to pashtun area, then he is attacked and cut with razors..so story is not one-sided, tit for tat is going on in karachi.

Kha, aao for why are the Pakhtuns of Afghanistan paying the price? Sa ajeeba ghwandi khabara di woka !!Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostThese poor ladies are paying the price for the dishonor and treachery that some Pashtuns committed with their own nation in 1947.
Yes, you are right so are other ethnic groups also targeted by the Pakhtuns.Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostEveryday (and I am not exaggerating here), Pashtuns are killed in Karachi.
Totally agreed!! And the leading Pakhtun party shows no reaction when a non-party civilian Pakhtun is attacked.Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostMost of those targeted are non-party civilians, unlike the man in this particular case.
Nothing new done by MQM. ANP, PPP, Aman Committe all are does the same.Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostWhenever things go wrong in the city, MQM dispatches its sector and unit thugs to kill 'Pathans'.
I never thought of it so.. Pakhtuns won't stop migrating because they are targeted. If MQM thinks so they are nuts. Pakhtun ka da marg na yaredo nu Pekhawar ba ye prekhay wo? Che rozana paki damaki kegiOriginally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostIt servers multiple purposes - it sends a message to Pashtuns to stop migrating to Karachi, each kill serves as a victory of sorts over the ANP (who don't target Urduite civilians), it reinforces the notion of the MQM's hegemony over the city, it sends a strong message to other ethnic groups, etc, etc.
Islamabad sends a minister who gives a bag full of money to MQM to stop the killings and to ANP to stop crying about it and to my surprise ANP stops crying about it, Irony !!Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostI'm actually not surprised at all that the center (the PPP) or the establishment (the army) are not doing anything about this at all. Whenever the bodies of Pashtuns start being piled up in numbers that the media has to pick up on, Islamabad sends a minister here who makes deals with the MQM behind closed doors and the killing stops for a few days.
Urdu Dominated media? What do you mean by this Urdu dominated media? Do you mean they broadcast in Urdu? If you mean this than it's just stupid as you can't expect them to broadcast in Pakhtu/Punjabi/Sindhi/Balochi etc? Leave the Punjabi dominated establishment aside, what about our own Pakhtun leaders? Do you think they are interested in uplifting the nation?Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostThe fact is that an Urdu-dominated media and a Punjabi-dominated establishment are not interested in the plight of poor Pashtuns because we are not one nation.
Not to an extent!! Che somra e zor rasi aao da ANP kho nan saba dier zor rasi, I am sure you are aware of the current situation of Rabia City, Pehalwan Goth etc etc? Ethnic division is something to which I don't agree especially in Karachi as a normal Pakhtun/Mohajir have got no problem with each other. They live together, the enjoy the same mosque and same streets.. The division is created by the political parties so the division is more political than ethnic.Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostOf course there are turf wars going on in the city and there are gangs here that are backed by the MQM, the PPP and even the ANP to an extent. But again, that's a factor that plays itself out within the realm of the city's ethnic divide.
Haha, ma wayl che ta ba da sa time waye? !! When the state prevented Pakhtuns to stop promoting their distinct ethnic culture and racial identity? Is the state telling them to marry non-Pakhtuns? Is the state telling them not to read Pakhtu as a language? Is the state telling them not to teach their children Pakhtu?Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostKarachi is a perfect case-study of how the Indic Pakistanis do not want any sort of integration with Pashtuns in which the latter maintain their distinct ethnic, cultural and racial identities.
Haha, oh I see that's why you see Pakhtuns as so many high posts within Pakistan. Thats why we don't have any labor who is Sindhi? I personally know Pakhtuns who are at the post of SP from the past 18 years and in the vary same city so saying that establishment just want to keep you a labor is wrong. It's you whose ability is just to be a labor!!Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostJust like the establishment wanted to keep just the land in Bengal and Balochistan, it wants to maintain the land and the labor of Pashtunkhwa (north and south) while the plight of the people is a mere secondary consideration, if it is a consideration at all.
Haha, Pakhtuns are seen as outsiders that is why the Pakhtun nationalist Asfandyar Wali Khan (An outsider according to You) is in the central govt? and a long list do you want me to continue?Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostThat is because due to our distinct national identity as Pashtuns, we are always seen as outsiders in the Pakistani state, whose ideology and identity are more akin and meaningful to Lahoris, UP-ites, Punjabis, etc than to Pashtuns, who actually opposed the creation of this abomination of a state.
Hehe, Zargiya why is that Pakhtuns didn't oppose the ideology and voted to be the part of this ideology. Opposed the creation of Pakistan, Now listen mate here you yourself are talking like an outsider who don't want to befitted in the frame of Pakistan. A minor group of Pakhtuns opposed its creation.
Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostAs for all those who identify themselves as Pashtuns and still, despite the mounting evidence, support the Pakistani state, ideology or 'identity', I sincerely hope that they see the bigger picture and if that is beyond them, then they should at the very least be moved by this senseless slaughter of the brethren.
Oh slaughter of the brethren is indeed something to be worried about and yes therefore we are trying out level best to start raising a voice against this within the state of Pakistan. That's why we voted for ANP but they did nothing. I hope this time the Pakhtuns vote Imran Khanyao warokay ghwandi baagh ao pa khwa ye seen rawan!

Esapzai...they care about us as well....look at GOE, Laila, etc. I can name you pashtuns from Afghanistan who didn't even speak a word of pashto as well as proper kaleewal Pashtuns who came out for protests for Swat, they helped us raise money for the IDPs...da zrrra porae mung saraa ae mrastha okrrlla. The objectives are to find common ground to unite us, and fix misconceptions (which luffy is itching to perpetuate).

The state didn't do good, those that came to Pashtunkhwa, came simply because there was a pashtun population who were willing to take them in. Asae na dae shuwae...at the end of the day blood is always thicker than water....ask the IDPs of other areas for proof.

I hear you are in the government there. Perhaps you could help out then. 1) Claims about history
2) Claims about where population sympathies lay.
I am completely willing to put my money where my mouth is and utilize this forum as a means to collect funds to power a study of some sort. Perhaps the work could be mediated by folks that as unbiased as possible or at least contains an equal number of biased people (e.g. Farhat Taj ANDERSEN as well as some other folks who counter her). The idea would be that we at least collect some rudimentary data on the different regions of KP to understand the answer to 2 basic questions:
1) Do you want to break off of Pakistan and become a part of the current Afghan state?
2) What are your thoughts on the break up of the Pakistani confederacy.
We could even have some qualifier questions that specify, would you prefer to be part of a wealthy Afghan state?
The bottom line is that the data is absent. What we do have is anecdote.
Let me give a simple but reasonable example: So we you have the Baloch separatists. Bugti was an armed and active insurgent from what I understand. However, we have no comparable figure who has taken up armed resistance against the state amongst pashtuns except Baitullah Mehsud and now Hakimullah Mehsud. Amongst the ANP and PMAP nationalists, we have simply part apparatus people that have not contributed a single fighter to the cause.
The Baloch insurgency is A) more organized B) has struck at harder targets C) Has recieved quiet a bit of backlash from the Pakistani military. Nonetheless, it festers.
Based on observing this, I do not think Luffy is an outlier by any means. When i couple this to my ANECDOTAL trip through Peshawar, I saw clearly that the Arbabs/Khalils, etc were quiet content with their positions within the state.
Why is this an issue? Its an issue because I believe that Pashtun nationalists paint a neoconservativesque picture or narrative similar to what was told to Americans prior to the Iraqi Invasion:
"Namely, take back northern Pakistan because there are your brethren, the great mass of pashtuns, who are downtrodden and waiting for you to pour across the border with glory... they will take you into their homes and give you their daughters in marriage and give flowers and chocolates to you! They will amass with you and turn their anger toward Pakistan. And all of this will occur under the banner of Hamid Shah Karzai Durrani Abdali nonetheless!"
Its absurdity after absurdity after absurdity."2 crackheads don't become any better or stronger by sharing the same crack pipe." - Greatest PF quote

A point about TTP and pashtun causes. It's a popular notion around here that the taliban are isi/pakjabi stooges. How could they rise up against their 'masters'? Why would the secular nationalists join them? Besides, wouldn't the pashtun causes slogan be reflected in their name, namely something like Tehreek i Taliban Pashtunistan?
I've said in the past, the excuse that the isi is stopping the masses from rising up doesn't take into account the fact that the isi couldn't stop certain baloch from forming 'resistance' groups. The isi is a smokescreen so one doesn't have to see the reality for what it is.
Current nation-states don't like losing territory. The qualifier that pashtuns of Pakistan are just waiting for afghanistan to be stable and prosperous begs the question of why would Pakistan let afghanistan be stable and prosperous if its sole goal is to take away its land and people?
