These poor ladies are paying the price for the dishonor and treachery that some Pashtuns committed with their own nation in 1947.Originally posted by afghan View Postgrave khana its not interesting rather a very sad reality. there are many pakipied patans who will protect the criminals and claim that pashtun kills the MQM thats why pashtun are targetted.
Everyday (and I am not exaggerating here), Pashtuns are killed in Karachi. Most of those targeted are non-party civilians, unlike the man in this particular case. Whenever things go wrong in the city, MQM dispatches its sector and unit thugs to kill 'Pathans'. It servers multiple purposes - it sends a message to Pashtuns to stop migrating to Karachi, each kill serves as a victory of sorts over the ANP (who don't target Urduite civilians), it reinforces the notion of the MQM's hegemony over the city, it sends a strong message to other ethnic groups, etc, etc.
I'm actually not surprised at all that the center (the PPP) or the establishment (the army) are not doing anything about this at all. Whenever the bodies of Pashtuns start being piled up in numbers that the media has to pick up on, Islamabad sends a minister here who makes deals with the MQM behind closed doors and the killing stops for a few days. The fact is that an Urdu-dominated media and a Punjabi-dominated establishment are not interested in the plight of poor Pashtuns because we are not one nation.
Of course there are turf wars going on in the city and there are gangs here that are backed by the MQM, the PPP and even the ANP to an extent. But again, that's a factor that plays itself out within the realm of the city's ethnic divide.
Karachi is a perfect case-study of how the Indic Pakistanis do not want any sort of integration with Pashtuns in which the latter maintain their distinct ethnic, cultural and racial identities. Just like the establishment wanted to keep just the land in Bengal and Balochistan, it wants to maintain the land and the labor of Pashtunkhwa (north and south) while the plight of the people is a mere secondary consideration, if it is a consideration at all. That is because due to our distinct national identity as Pashtuns, we are always seen as outsiders in the Pakistani state, whose ideology and identity are more akin and meaningful to Lahoris, UP-ites, Punjabis, etc than to Pashtuns, who actually opposed the creation of this abomination of a state.
As for all those who identify themselves as Pashtuns and still, despite the mounting evidence, support the Pakistani state, ideology or 'identity', I sincerely hope that they see the bigger picture and if that is beyond them, then they should at the very least be moved by this senseless slaughter of the brethren."If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be".
"Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives".

i have heard the reason for targetting pashtun is the MQM wants to have separate province , the strongest opposition is going to be pashtun for their future province. Another reason that they fear that pashtun will be united into greater afghanistan or pashtunistan and these pakies will be left on the mercy of pashtuns. i am wondering why pashtun leadership is ignoring these atrocities.Originally posted by Levanaye Zalmaye View PostThese poor ladies are paying the price for the dishonor and treachery that some Pashtuns committed with their own nation in 1947.

Paki Pashtuns are too apologitic and weak. I can't believe some indics are doing this to Pashtuns. Growing up with Paki/Indians I used to take on 5-10 all on my own. I make their heart drop and faint on one strike. You guys are reduced to the likes of chargorrai/chargootai Sh"e"baz Khan etc. Even god hates be-hemat people. You people are too worried about your supplement of Dhaal and Chawal. At least stand and protest for your rights.

They are being destroyed you are right, but the situation is not as simple as the people not standing up per say. It is ..what is the word, pa gandh kae proth ao yaw tharf tha ghal ao bal tharff tha spae. People there have an issue with ttp, have an issue with the intelligence of Pakistan, army, etc. Then you have establishment folk, ANP, etc all criss-crossing. Ttol gandh dae. The issue is a lack of direction, imho. If this can be fixed, then the things can fall into place. People that I have spoken to or know personally understand they are being double-worked by the army and intelligence, but is there any solid alternative? Can we name any one political force or even miltiary force that can give them their fair break? I don't think so. If you can name one then you would be right, but as far as I know there isn't any.
