The kill team photos should be used. In most cases, the faces are blurred, but we also need to show what exactly is going on, and so after some thought, I think we need to show these photos and expose what is going on.
I think we have to keep in mind respect for these dead Muslims here. I don't know if we should use these pictures. Maybe just stick to mass burials, and some images which have the faces blurred out, but even then.
I doubt the families of these people who have been killed would want their pictures shown. At the same time, a message needs to get across, so one has to tread lightly on this issue.
i dont know how familiar you are with afghan people and the culture of the society there, but your assumptions are not in touch with reality..
we are working in their interests and they would naturally be willing to help publicize crimes committed against them.
the picture of the man laying dead with the soldiers walking past is very strong. the way the soldiers are noncalantly passing and ignoring him is horrible.
the small photo under the man hanging upside down is good because none of them look like the image of taliban that are shown in the west, and the man in the cage with the soldier nearby.
the wording i would put with these is..IN THEIR OWN LAND!!!! IN THEIR OWN LAND,
THIS IS BEING DONE TO THE AFGHAN PEOPLE!!!
gye first u said the pics are too graphic then u suggest we should make use of the kill team photos... thats kind of contradictory.
we need brochures and the like as well. i say we should make use of anything that makes the opposition look as evil as it is-- that is in our best interests. it doesnt make sense to play their actual crimes down..
i said we could use the story and not the pictures.
the opposition is well known for their crimes, all we need toes have is something which strikes with slogans slogans.
i havent heard much from darwezkhail and i dont know what exactly does he want.
this is what i think
-flyers
-pictures with slogan such as "stop terrorising Afghans"
"ten years of massacre and chaos" "End the occupation"
-videos for youtube(here we could use clips which together can create the context)
what else
i need darwezkhail to give us more details
im a designer and i need to have the material such as slogan, pictures etc

you are welcome.
what about some reference to du and the birth defects? i think that article i mentioned says how much higher than iraq the sign in urine of afghans is.
the picture you've done with the drone is ok too.
this wording STOP THE SLAUGHTER OF THE PEOPLE OF AFGHANISTAN, BRING THE SOLDIERS HOME!!!!
yeah i dont know exactly either...lol. but i got a general idea. darwez hasnt replied back to my last email yet.
i think just assembling photos in general which can be used for the banners and posters. as faye suggested, we can write slogans on them or combine them into a collage if that works.
videos are also good for the youtube page. video clips and short video presentations...
google news obviously does not give much on the current demonstrations and protests going on in Afghanistan. Pictures from those protests, and other demonstrations of public opposition to the us-nato presence would be ideal in addition to everything else.
