The book alleges that as an older man he held "nightly cuddles" – without clothes - with seventeen year-old girls in his entourage, including his own niece.

i have heard this stuff before. i really don't understand the gandhi worship by some people.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

some people call bacha Khan "frontier gandhi".
those two cant be comapred, gandhi has been in service of British and Bacha khan was jailed and discouraged and he was never in the service of British.

Ghandi was a coward and a sellout. He gave in to British pressure of splitting the subcontinent which was a disservice to its inhabitants interests. If you notice how the British portrayed him through his life. They called him a terrorist and a fanatic when he was against the partition, when he gave in to British pressure and accepted the partition, all of a sudden he was a peace loving and great man that fought for the people of India. What a joke.

you know as much as me about gandhis private life, i assume. nothing. we are all only speculating. i put forward a possibility and in this day and age, with the power that the media has, one needs to be skeptical, constantly.

His own son has outed him.

and faye...just because the author is jewish? Srsly?

Well these allegations have been leveled before. It all depends on how you look at it.

Gandhi has himself stated that he slept naked with his teen niece to 'test' his will power. We can call him perverted ( I definitely do) but for him it was the ultimate test of his capability to resist temptation and hold steadfast to what he believed in.

He should have held steadfast in not accepting the partition like Bacha Khan did.

Agree with you. But I dont doubt his intelligence or his motives (not in this instance at least). I think he followed the maxim of "something is better than nothing". Plus Jinnah wasn't helpful either. The ML probably blackmailed the British with threats of mass riots if Pakistan isnt given. Read about the Direct action day.
