A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

no body wants an autocratic dictatorship, you get conned into accepting it and then it becomes a yoke around your neck. Islam through out history has done that. It cons the populace into these situations and they eventually pay the full price and then some.Originally posted by ScimitarXEdge View Postbut if that's what the people want for themselves it's not autocratic. In Democracy majority rules.
I am more hopeful for the egyptians at least. But deep down I know, its just wishful thinking.

yeah eventually they pay the price with better moral standards; a deeper sense of nature and their relationship to it and being a powerful force in this world, especially against the shallow degenerate societies of Europe.Originally posted by Baygham View Postno body wants an autocratic dictatorship, you get conned into accepting it and then it becomes a yoke around your neck. what a yoke around their neck; better to be slaves of farangis and turn into benamous degenerates destroying the sanctity of our reproductive faculties and doling women out for the sake of appeasing some overzealous ape.
and dont even start to mention the current condition of Muslims and equate that with Islam; we all know that has to do with abandoning Islam, not following it correctly.Last edited by ScimitarXEdge; 03-08-2011, 04:21 AM.

dont u know? turning a blind eye to moral degradation on the flimsy basis of freedom = progress. There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Democracy and Secularism is very new and Alien-Like to the Arabs. Even Professed-Secularists in the Arab world still hold onto Pan Islamist Views. Even Kernal Kaddafi once said, Islam will conquer whole of Europe etc.
I hope the Arab Youth do not repeat the same mistake as the past, I hope they work for Democracy and secularism instead of Muslim Brotherhood Imperialists Dictators.
I think if Saudi Arabia is hit hard with Protests and they manage to overthrow the dictator monarchy then there is great hope for the Arab world.

You seem to forget that those dictator monarchy's are supported and prevented from being overthrown by the secular democracies.Originally posted by salahuddin View PostDemocracy and Secularism is very new and Alien-Like to the Arabs. Well, I didnt see the Muslim world complain when they got funding and supprot from these secular democracies when they declared Jihad on the Soviet Union.Originally posted by khushal View PostYou seem to forget that those dictator monarchy's are supported and prevented from being overthrown by the secular democracies.
Obviously, having the Muslim brotherhood in power is not beneficial to anybody except those who promote Pan-Islamist Ideals.
If Muslim brotherhood got into power, Christians and Non Muslims would be persecuted. I think its reasonable of the "International Community" to prevent such a overthrowing, but the support from the secular world has been outstanding in the recent uprisings in the Arab world.
I personally feel, Saudi Arabia needs to be overthrown and replaced with a democratic government, abolishment of Sharia laws and freedom for all.
Same I would say about the Vatican. We all live as one, one law for all and for all mankind.

most arab states have been secular since their founding.
and why do u consider the brotherhood as imperialist dictators? they arent dictators since they have no power, and they arent imperialists since they are home grown. its the secularist dictators like mubarak who have kept the brotherhood down, and who happen to be supported by imperialists. There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. I didnt realize you have attention deficit disorder. Try to stick with the subject. We are not talking about who is complaining. Reread my post.Originally posted by salahuddin View PostWell, I didnt see the Muslim world complain when they got funding and supprot from these secular democracies when they declared Jihad on the Soviet Union.

He doesn't seem to understand why people such as the muslim brotherhood has a large following in Egypt. The Arabs know that these dictators are imposed on them by these secular democracies. Why would the average Arab support a secular democracy when those secular democracies are responsible for the suppression of their freedoms.Originally posted by ScimitarXEdge View PostNah, he's deliberately trying to make a red herring/divert focus.
