  • How are your personal feelings towards Massud?

Well to be Honest as an Afghan nationalist I do somewhat agree with Massud the fact that today if he was alive he definitely would of condemned American invasion, where as his counter parts are pro-American. You guys maybe too young for this but many of those pro-Massud believe that was Fahim who killed Massud and now some rise questions on Dr. Abdullah USA's favorite northern Alliance.

In my whole live-time I found no such evidence that proves Massud was an anti-Afghan, Ghali or any kind of character that would actually damage Afghan image. In fact I have never seen any interviews or any proven article/documents referring to himself as an Tajik. Or a Tajik nationalist with attentions of dividing Afghanistan for the sack of 7-8% of Tajiks.

As many Afghans would agree that yes Massud did had stain blood on his shirt, like any commanders of 1980s, but at least we agree that if his men fought against Taliban and simply because Taliban were 95% Pashtu speakers and maybe 5% Arab or other foreigners, that it doesn't mean his war was against Pashtu speakers, and nor he was a lingumastic person to believe that his language and his mother-tongue vs superior to native tongue pashtu. After all he too had supporters from many Afghan tribes or (Pashtuns), perhaps I shell say that now days due to spread and propaganda from non-Afghan immigrants, Ghalis and shias this number really dropped down. This was well said by his own brother Ahmed Zia who concluded that people have his name and anti-Taliban resistance into something disgusting that if Massoud was alive today he would of given the fight right away.

Indeed sadly but to a degree for a short term I too was anti-Massud perhaps because I was pro-Najeeb but there was no-one else that would of fought against anti-development. I know some-one very close family members who have worked with Massud for 17 years, and today he is the most Pashtun nationalist that I have ever meet, in fact he doesn't even like our family simply some of us don't even know how to say "Thank you" in Pashtu. Mention his name would not be a appropriate a) he is a family memeber, b) because he is highly involved in Mellat Party.

    Poll
How are your personal feelings towards Massud?
    1. I am a totally anti-Massud. He was a Coward at his young age used by ISI he too was send to Madrasa along with other cowards such as Gulbudin to make a political party against ruling Mohammadzai and Daud Khan, later by CIA Aid to become a comander in charge of Panjsher province and later a trator soldout his Jihad in helping escape Russians, and then finally used by ISI once again to fight Gulbudin and Najeeb and changed sides many times. Finally lost much of people's support and lost much of the country to emerging ISI supported Taliban who at 2nd year controlled much of Afghanistan until 2001 covering almost 95%.
    2. I always wished he was Pashtun because he had a big mouth, he was a person that Karzai can never be, some-one like him was indeed in need to our Pashtun society to defent us. Unfortunatly his backround is unknown, I would of respected him since he did spoke a little Pashtu but at the end he's death and because today much of his supporters are non-Pashtun, therefore leaves no room to like him.
    3. He was the man of his time, a Hero with many personalities, to a Pashtun he was Pashtun, to a Tajikistani he was Tajik, to an Uzbek he was Uzbek and to an Hazara he was a monster. I admir Massud to a level far beyond understanding. All I have to say is that I wish he was alive.
    4. He was Tajik, I don't know what Tajik means but seems from google search he was from Tajikistan, a chinki looking irano-Mongolid people who speak an Iranian language but mixed in origin as we pashtuns call mughuli. Hell to him and his Turkistan

he would of been against the invasion? he was practically begging the west to intervene in afghanistan, all while getting russian, iranian, and indian money. lets not forget his pact with the soviets during the war.

people say he was a great commander but his men were responsible for reprehensible crimes during the civil war. great commanders are defined by the actions of the men they command, that would make him a **** commander. if he was not aware of these crimes, then that also makes him a **** commander.

thats not to take away from any of the brave tajiks who fought under him during the jihad. brave pashtuns also fought under **** like hekmatyar.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

People here tend to like to insult Masood.

The only reason why I dispise him is because he turned to Bhutto to prevent Pashtun unity.

However, I respect him for burning down the Paki-Taliban ISI embassy down in Kabul when he was angry over Pakistan blocking weapons to him.

Thirdly, nobody here speaks of the way he died, if you guys did not know, he died by a radical terrorist Arabs who blew themselves up.

Plus I respected his Anti-Taliban Stance but then again, he was a by-product of ISI so no trust there for him.

To end this comment, the Terrorist Arabs who killed him, their wives live in France under a secular non Muslim government,The wife of the one of the bombers was interviewed with her veil on speaking the usual Arab Jihad Non sense.

Why do these Arabs always target the poor and badly effected regions of the world to spread their terror upon the world.

Ustad Rasool Sayaaf did one thing good for pashtuns in his whole life by arranging an interview for the egyptains to kill this ex-KGB and isi agent masud.

Forced many pashtun artests out of the country.
He never fought jehaad. His jehaad was to get weapons against pashtuns.
He even sign treaty with russains for the safety of russain soldiers so he will get weapons in return.

                Sayaf with Pakistan Brig Yousuf

Sayaf was a big time Kwaneee of Pak ISI and Pak fauge.

He is also the same savage arabised Wahabi who said to a Afghan Female politician that she should be raped for her plea to put warlords on trial.

I do not blame the Afghan Soviet Forces put putting these Trash into gulags and iron prisons.

Look at what they have done for Afghanistan!

I hate suicide bombing and extremist tactics where innocent civilians end up taking the brunt of any impact, which is one reason I have extreme difficulty siding with the Taliban, and find myself largely opposing them.

But there's always exceptions to rules; and Massoud's case was very valid. The man was even going to give refuge to Najibullah, the man who ran KHaD and murdered more of the "poor and badly effected" people you claim to be so concerned about in Afghanistan than anyone else. Seriously KHaD alone killed 150,000 Afghans, most of them Pashtoon, in just ONE month of September 1979. To offer refuge to such a person only revealed Massoud's corruption.

If Massoud burnt down an Pakistani Embassy, it means very little; that's like a child burning down his parents house when he didn't get his allowance money.

As mentioned by others here, he was funded by Russia, India and France; all of whom had stakes in what happens in Afghanistan; so you have the culprits in reversed; you should be asking Why are all these Degenerate White Europeans and their slave states like India and Pakistan targeting poor and badly effected countries to spread their terror upon the world.

I'm glad that he only ever saw 5% of Afghanistan and a little valley in his life under his control. His clan of bandits, thieves and murderers didn't stop to use rape as a form of domination and demoralization when the taliban were ousted. Places like Balkh and other areas such as the Sakhi camp in mazar i sharif were literally rape facilities for his cronies i.e. Dostums men.

Countless pashtuns suffered due to his ideas and now all those ****bags that were under him, such as Fahim and others are now politicians who all have pashtun blood on their hands.
