The fact that there are a vast majority of Muslims in Afghanistan can make Afghanistan Islamic.Originally posted by Dinosaur Khan View Postwhat makes it an islamic country?
But it is not. The country is ruled by non-Muslims, the laws of the land are un-Islamic. And there too un-Islamic activities going on there. There is allot of alcohol and drugs consumption, corruption, prostitution, theft and robbery and people tend to be very immoral by immitating Indians and Europeans.
The same applies to man European countries. They are not Christian countries. Christianity is marginalized and totally ubvisible in public life.[SIZE="4"][B][CENTER][URL="www.quranawsunnat.com"]www.quranawsunnat.com

Your emotional sensitivity does not help us in this discussion.Originally posted by Son of Mountains View Postaccording to ur criteria for a muslim country.............

There are a vast majority of Muslims in Pakistan. And they could make Pakistan and Islamic country. But it is not.
I am not saying Afghanistan is better than Pakistan. You Pakistani nationalists should just become more masculine and shove your emotions and sensitivities aside. And stop acting like little cry-babies as soon as you see people saying things conflicting to your beliefs.[SIZE="4"][B][CENTER][URL="www.quranawsunnat.com"]www.quranawsunnat.com

You know the history of Afghanistan very well, so the only reason you are asking this question is out of spite for the earlier topic (i.e. is pakistan an islamic country). This topic has little relevance other than you want to, for some odd loyalty, get back at the initial topic before. At least that is my opinion.Originally posted by Dinosaur Khan View Postwhat makes it an islamic country?

Saudi is shariah system by name but in reality it is a kingdom, named after a family and exclusively run by it. It is about as islamic as Suriname. Don't fall for its window dressing, it is a farce.Originally posted by imb706 View PostIronically, someone was calling Saudi Arabia unislamic here. It certainly is one of the worst countries on Earth though. What makes Saudi Arabia islamic to you?

You have no right to privacy in Saudi Arabia or protection from harm from the legal authorities. You are either extremely ignorant or just opposing what I'm saying out of spite. The majority of the country live in abject poverty, limbs get chopped off as average punishment and political parties and trade unions are banned there. Seriously, you can't be this ignorant.
Yep, an oppressive torturous hell hole.glBecause Islamic shariah is practiced.
i.e if you steal, chop the hand.Last edited by Guest; 05-02-2010, 02:57 AM.

While I'm the biggest critic of US policy, sure, to say it's becoming like Saudi Arabia is laughable. There's a billion reasons why Saudi Arabia and other countries are crappy like that, and the US lacks much of those. Sure, I agree, the road the two ruling parties are going down isn't good, but I won't exaggerate. The US still has the most open speech laws in the world. I surely salute the systems Europe has put in place to keep its citizens from falling through cracks and the social mobility, but they don't have "more freedoms." If anything they have less, I guess except for health care, and one of our states is going down that route thankfully XD. Even if it were, that's not a proper response anyway.

I said the most free when it comes to speech. In the EU, in Canada and most elsewhere in the developed world, hate speech laws are prominent. In some, they're pretty light, in others they're so intense pretty much speaking out as a nazi or racist gets you arrested. Sure, nazis are bunch of *******s, but come on. Also publishing holocaust denial books is illegal in many of those countries. Again, holocaust denial is full of crap but please, what's gained by banning it? No one takes that **** seriously, except Al-Qaeda and David Duke.

About hate speech? I guess to quote someone else here, "google." But I'll throw you a bone: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hate_sp...s_in_Australia (this is the country that wants to set up a firewall similar to the great firewall of China) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holocau...locaust_denial http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_I...locaust_denial http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hate_sp...Code_of_Canada
