We are all brothers, I just mean I did not want my father's brethren, folks like Admin Khan and others to walk away mistakenly thinking that I would reserve my efforts to the KP side of the border. I also did not want to stoke a discussion over Afghanistan versus Pakistan here. I was clarifying a term that is commonly used. Development has taken place in KP more rapidly in the form of Rehman Medical Institute and enhancing that progress in KP is enticing. That is the only reason I was clarifying my usage of the term. In many of my posts I have wrote about in integrated hospital system spanning the Pashtun territories and utilized the term Pashtunkhwa as Ahmad Shah Abdali utilized it as he wrote in Kandahar. However, I want to clarify for readers that I want progress in medicine in Kandahar, Jalalabad, Wana, Peshawar, etc. My father's brethren have just as much a right over me as my mother's. I did not want brothers like Shlombay to walk away thinking I had forgotten the Mommadzai's and the rest of the Abdalyaan. As an American Pashtun, I see no border between our people and nor do I see installed puppet dictators as legitimate. Manzerah and Shabaz are my brethren as well and our links supercede petty local culturalism or statism. We all worship the God of Isa, Musa, Ibrahim, and Muhammad (S).

i red your post and find it to be biased and false.
non pashtun Afghans do care and even talk about durrand line
they will also never accept it

and we dont just blame pakistan for destablizing AFG pakista is playing monopoly on wheat export and thye have pressed pakistani money on us.and when Afghans try to reject it they ban wheat export.

pakistan is using our brothers from pukhtunkhwa against us just to protect their monopoly.

but again i dont expect you to know or tell the truth since i know that most people in pakistan are extremely misinformed and brainwashed.
there is no free press or freedom of speech in pakistan.

in pakistan they rather have the people dumbed down and used and abused in the name of islam.

put your nuclear weapon to yourself friend
we dont need your nuclear technology which is used to produce weapons of mass destruction.
what good is nuclear weapons when you have no electricity in cities such as peshawer.
i didnt say Afghanistan is not the one getting wheat form pakistan, thats just your another attempt at being arrogant.
pakistan is using the wheat export as a pressuring mechanism.
but again what can we expect for a willfully misinformed person.

When you switch on GEO or Hum TV or whatever you watch:

                            1. Do you see yourself/your people?
                            2. How do you see Pashtoons portrayed?
                            3. If an Urdu-speaking audience (wherever they are located) were to look at Pakistani TV, what would their impressions/knowledge of Pashtoons be?

                                Salaamoona Shabaz Khan Saheb,

I actually used to delve very much into these things when I first came here. Your call for self criticism and evaluation is very reasonable, but will not receive much applause. I agree with you that the pinnacle of success comes from introspection and understanding one's own short comings. That way, one can improve upon them. I think there is an agnostic fellow on here who calls himself Ghaznavi who actually grasped what I was saying and agreed that talking about paper states called Pashtunistan have no value until one can actually provide an infrastructure. I have some family friends back down in the south who are fellow Afghan Physicians. We were talking about mineral resource wealth in Nangrahar area and the first comment out of their mouth was "Oh wrorre, you Qandahaaryaan have no idea! The Pakistanis stole all our minerals!" I was dumbfounded that two educated people could make such stupid statements. A part of this is likely the artifact of years of foreign involvement from various groups in Afghanistan that have heightened the xenophobic nature of the Afghans.

I also agree with you that a part of this criticism is calculated to actually further enslave the people and not to free them as they are led to believe. For example, the charge leveled against Omar Akhund is generally that he is an agent of the ISI. This is in the face of mounting evidence from Abdul Salam Zaeef that there was generally mistrust of the Pakistani authorities. This is also in the face of articles posted here by Admin Khan that show the Taliban's unwillingness to accept the Durand line (this does not mean that Admin Khan was endorsing them). THis is also in the face of mounting criticism from American patriots like Matthew Hoh and Michael Scheuer that understand that the Taliban very much represent a Pashtun phenomena. So the foolish choice that the hardline secularistas give the Pashtuns is: Karzai versus Omar... the former is a nationalist the latter is an agent. My issue with this idiotic line of thinking has always rested in Karzai's chickenhawk, run away from the fight, and come back to power on the back of an empire approach versus Omar Akhund being a man of the people, having been raised in Deh Rawood, and having fought and lost 50% of his eyesight for his fellow Afghans.

You see brother, Karzai is an unacceptable alternative to me because he did not earn the right to lead. This is the failure of the Afghans; in our country's time of need, our elites, who fashioned themselves as the George Washingtons and Thomas Jeffersons left the country high and dry resting comfortably in the arms of their spouses and inhabting mudbathes in Italy while the barefooted and the poor fought a struggle against occupation. Their wives still sit in agony waiting for their very probably dead husbands to return to their arms. THis was the sacrifice of our Afghan sisters... they gave their sons and the husbands. I will never spit on their homage to our nation.

The same phenomena plagues Iraq with the Chalabis and the Malikis and the Allawis. They suffered not a bit with their people, yet they are willing to play the role of a modern Shah Shuja Al Mulk Sadozai and be propped up on the back of the NATO powers. They did not earn the right to lead and they were cowards in the face of battle... so now they want to regain and stay in power at all costs.

I have no trouble in my mind separating options and saying a loud resounding "NO" to a bone head government led by a bonehead Karzai who was not a leader amongst his peers. This is no meritocracy... this is oligarchy at its bare worst.
