          Dear Mazareh.

I can respond to your thread quite clearly.

May I ask you the following:-

Why do Pakistani Pashtuns from the UK/Pakistan love the Palestinians?

          Please read the following:-

          http://criticalppp.com/archives/673

Your hero of Sharia/Taliban Zia ul Haq massacred innocent Palestinians in Black September, not only this, the Pakistan Army took a big part in bombing/attacking innocent Palestinian Refugees.

Before the "Israel Card" is shown, I suggest you take a good look at the role Pakistan made in killing Palestinians.

          Kind Regards

          P.S

It makes absolutely no difference which part of the Region you live in, Pakistani Pashtuns and Afghan Pashtuns are very much deep rooted in rivalries amongst themselves, it was not long ago that two tribes in Afghanistan were killing eachother over a water well, in Pakhtunkhwa Pashtun tribes are slaughtering eachother for government position, for rishwat, for money and also in the Name of their faith(Tirah, Kurram, DI Khan).

I think the hatred is not based on which side, all Pashtun tribes have a rival and a enemy.

Pakistani Pashtuns tend to fend for themselves while those in Afghanistan tend to concern themselves more on control of thier own provinces I.E Kandahar/Jalalabad both controlled by Tribal militias who are heavily armed.

If we had our own state, with a strong system with zero outside influence, including western and arab/persian, we could easily wipe out tribalism and look more towards development, Sadly our region is a hell hole, and tribalism is very much alive.

I know most of the people in Pakistan are brought up in an environment where vulgarity is valued rather thought to be a basic skill as is evident from their media. Every time I have met non-Pashtuns of Pakistan, I have heard things from them regarding Pashtuns that can only be called vulgar, insensitive, and insulting...That points to their nature...
you attacked my by directing the post at me when i was not speaking for myself, i asked general questions. your secound paragraph was the biggest pile of crap iv read here, you must come accross some weird people then one iv my brothers has a property and lives in islamabad, hes a proud pashtun and gets the utmost respect from the non pashtuns around him, iv lived in pakistan for a long time and iv never come accross any vulgur attitude from people just because i am pashtun, your secound paragraph for me defines the brainwashing that you afghans are a custom to, Shahid Afridi is on the wall and desktop of every teenager in pakistan and hes a known pashtun, Abdul Qadir Khan is a Pashtun national hero of pakistan, what nonsence you spew, pashtuns are respected in pakistan, the non-pashtuns of pakistan show you a bad attitude because ther probly smart enough to realize you want their head on a stick, so why should they have a good atitude to you?? let me ask you something, how would pakistani refugees be treated in afghanistan?? nomatter how much you try an deny it afghans have their head in the clouds and think there the real pashtuns, you think we dont know that you speak about us and call us dhaal khors etc in your homes??

And sixty something years later, Pakistan still blames India for all her troubles and lack of progress - all the things like poor drainage, lack of electricity, fragile democracies etc. Solution? Feed the army, starve the country and protect your borders because Afghanistan, India and the Shiites in Iran all lay a historic claim to yours.

On a world platform, however, there is more hope invested in India and even troubled Afghanistan. Does this irk Pakistan and make them feel left out?

I have a hard time with the way you so flippantly write that. A not-so distant cousin of mine was made a widow, last year in Swat, not long after getting married. Her husband's body was found bullet ridden after the army took him one evening. After the Jannazah, she returned to her parental home, now that she had no reason to live in her married home. That is where she had her first child. One day she will tell this to her daughter - I can't imagine how she will explain, but I get tears just thinking about it.

This is just one story, there are many others in Pakistan and in Afghanistan where the state of Pakistan has a definite hand directly or indirectly.

Can the state of Pakistan "blow Pashtuns off the face of the earth"? No, it can't. There are too many, but it can try to beat them into submission through fear, heavy handedness and blatant lies, try to "domesticate" them and strip them of any independent thought and action. Many will oblige. That is the difference between field slaves and house slaves and some will collude with the state. Others will not notice the systematic dismantling.

Others, like many on this forum, see it. You expect, of course, for Afghans/Pashtoons to be grateful.

Whether his questions are legitimate or not; it's a sign of gross intellectual bankruptcy to merely shrug them off and disparage the questioner unless of course he's "loaded" or "leading" questioning. And then relying on "No True Scotsman" claims (look up Logical Fallacies: "No True Scotsman" for more details) on top of it all.

For someone who claims to value Critical Thinking this very Anti-Intellectual approach is unbecoming. You say you're educated and from an educated family but use such amateurish tactics. I expected more from you.

If you're so sure you're right and have confidence in the virtue of your causes, then Answer the questions, don't evade with some silly excuses.

As I pointed out Tor-Khan, Hatred amongst Pakistani or Afghan Pashtuns is heavily rooted in Tribalism. Take the forum for example, if one utters a single word about Kandahar, every member from there would gang up on the individual, same with Pakhtunkhwa, we all fight eachother over Tribalism, Tribalism is what divides us, Country,Religion,Culture plays other dominent roles in our division, customs and traditions is the same, Before we speak of any Pashtun that and Pashtun this, we need to firstly establish "WHO WE ARE". Most of us think we are some Arabised Bani Israel, others Persian, turks, Europeans, greek etc etc etc, its very rare to see Pashtuns on here who call and consider their blood and genes to be of Pashtun only.

                      Kind Regards

Poor afghans are not bothered about anti-pakistani crap, they are busy earning for thereselves in pakistan. But online pseudo-pashtuns from west here are wasting their time by propagating hate and voilence. They are acting like losers and are giving wrong message to the world that afghanis are losers.

                        lar o bar yo pashtun.

Whether he is Paki or not is irrelevant; we're here for intellectual exchange and if we just make everything a "Preaching to the Choir" fiasco, then we get nowhere.

Questions should always have a response if not for their sake, for our own.

Manzareh, it is primarily an endless and useless discussion and I don't want to waste time on it but let me answer your points.

As long as you disown your culture and values and submit to a concept of Pakistan where the main Indo-Aryan culture (of Punjabis, Siraikis, Mahajars, etc.) and politico-economic interests pre-dominate, as long as you don't talk of your identity and sovereignty, the Punjabis and Mahajars would admire you as a Pashtun (a teathless Pashtun identity that sheepishly accept the superiority of their cultures)....But the moment you speak of your distinctiveness, the Punjabi-Mahajrs would call you barbaric, stupid, akhrot, agent, Kafir, and what not...

Actually, the Punjabi-Mahajar want to construct a Pakistani identity which is FUNDAMENTALLY, FUNDAMENTALLY, FUNDAMENTALLY an Indic identity with major cultural elements derived from the cultures of Punjab and Mahajars (Karachi) and which comes at a cost of Pashtun culture and values. So these people are not interested in Islam or anything; their purpose is to maintain their own life-style and consolidate their own cultures and economic position by exploiting you and your resources. Look, how in Lahore, they are developing a pretty advanced urban life-style but are pushing our land more into violence and instability.

It is only your own Pashtun brother that would stand by you ...because he shares with you a lot and is instinctively aware of the fact that you and him are descended from the same father.
