They had some good policies and they had some bad ones. What made them successful and what still makes them successful is their tolerance towards other ethnicities - without that they would crumble like cookies.Originally posted by shlombayAkbar Khan you know to be honest with you it was only the Taliban who were able to bring peace to Afghanistan. Afghanistan was a mess, girls and boys were all getting raped when they took over by the topakayean and Taliban really did put an end to all of that. In the Kandahar border they had Hazara taliban, uzbek Taliban and Tajik Taliban.

Now that you bring this up, it is an interesting fragile point.Originally posted by akbarkhan View PostThey had some good policies and they had some bad ones. However, don't you think that because they are mainly ethnically Pashtun that others would hate them?

Living in their own political bubble without taking into consideration the realities of global politics and sentiments.Originally posted by shlombayCan you give me some of their bad policies please?
Hastily trying to change the dynamics of a torn country instead of pursuing a gradual generation-based social policy.
Using physical force to implement certain religious policies.
Being gullible about certain so called "Muslim" neighbours.
In other words, the folks high up in their chain of command were only religious leaders not seasoned statesmen.
