O'faithful hearken thy vezir, for he promises them another Gandamak and for the ancestors of Hari Nalwa a similar fate has been sealed. We shall shake the foundations of their inner sanctums, written in gold and immortal will remain this endeavor of Afghans.

      Salam Alaikom,

He is studying in Egypt. Have you listened to his radio interview in the US?

In the Kandahar border they had Hazara taliban, uzbek Taliban and Tajik Taliban.
They had some good policies and they had some bad ones. What made them successful and what still makes them successful is their tolerance towards other ethnicities - without that they would crumble like cookies.

Now that you bring this up, it is an interesting fragile point.

However, don't you think that because they are mainly ethnically Pashtun that others would hate them?

Living in their own political bubble without taking into consideration the realities of global politics and sentiments.

Hastily trying to change the dynamics of a torn country instead of pursuing a gradual generation-based social policy.

Using physical force to implement certain religious policies.

Being gullible about certain so called "Muslim" neighbours.

In other words, the folks high up in their chain of command were only religious leaders not seasoned statesmen.

That does apply to some cases.
