    MCC condemns Swedish Suicide Bombing
Like Nazism, Islamofascism too must be confronted, says Canadian Muslim group

TORONTO - The Muslim Canadian Congress (MCC) unequivocally condemns the suicide bombing in Sweden, reiterates its renunciation of the doctrine of armed Jihad that is the root cause of such terrorist attacks, and calls on all Islamic groups to join it in its fight against fascistic tendencies in the Muslim community.

The MCC has repeatedly pointed out the links between these Jihadi terrorists and their parent Islamist organizations, such as the Jamaat-e-Islami in Pakistan-India-Bangladesh and the Muslim Brotherhood in the Arab World that provide the academic nourishment and spiritual sustenance to these terrorists. The MCC points out that these parent organizations have their subsidiaries in all secular and democratic societies, be it Sweden or Canada, where they operate freely and use the misplaced and ill-informed sympathies from some sections of the Left to further their agenda of Islamist imperialism and the destruction of secular and democratic values.

In addition, some Islamist groups receive massive funding from both Saudi Arabia based financial and charitable institutions as well through private Saudi billionaires who are fuelling the worldwide war of Islamism against human civilization. These funders also include citizens of other totalitarian Gulf Arab monarchies. These billions of dollars are then utilized to gain control of not just the mosque pulpit, but even marginal left-wing politicians in the West who misuse the Leftist narrative to provide subterfuge to the Islamist cause.

The MCC believes that unless the overseas funding of these groups and organizations is not stopped and the Islamists are not confronted and exposed, acts such as the terror suicide bombing in Stockholm, will only increase and sooner or later a major Canadian city will have to witness the carnage London, Madrid, New York and now Stockholm have suffered.

The MCC believes the West must distinguish between Islam on one hand and Islamism and Islamofascism on the other. The MCC believes that like Nazism, Islamofascism has to be confronted by all available means, but first and foremost, ideologically. Without recognizing Islamism as a fascist ideology and not permitting this fascist ideology to hide behind the protection of religion, the West will remain not just handcuffed and tongue-tied in this war, but also clueless in how to deal with an enemy that lives and prospers amongst us.

The MCC believes being ant-Islamism does not make one oppose Islam or Muslims. On the contrary, Islamism's primary victims are Muslims who are dying at the rate of a dozen-a-day at the hands of these jihadi monsters.

The MCC wishes to remind Muslims as well as non-Muslims that the fight between Islam and Islamism is not a new phenomenon; it has been a struggle between peace and violence that goes back to the roots of early Islam. As we Muslim approach the 10th of Muharrum in the Muslim calendar on December 16, we need to realize we are commemorating the massacre of Prophet Muhammad's very own family by the Islamists of that time. The people who were willing to kill the Prophet's family in cold blood in the year 680CE to retain power and maintain supremacy, are the same people who threaten human civilization itself in the year 2010.

The MCC is also deeply critical of some elements on the Left whose blind support of multiculturalism enables the Islamists and their Jihadist proxies to establish roots in democratic and secular societies and destroy it from within as parasites and termites. The shortsightedness of leftist groups enamoured by the likes of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Hamas and Hezbollah will have far reaching consequences. The MCC appeals to left-wing groups in the West to stop working alongside fascist, misogynist and homophobic Islamist groups who are merely using the legitimacy they get when they pepper their jihadi talk with anti-imperialist language, but who in reality are more hostile to the basic values the left has fought for in the last 200 years.

The suicide bombing in Sweden should be a wake up call for all of Canada.

Naziism was (remains?) a genuine fascist political movement.

Whereas, this is not to avoid the genuine concerns around extremism, the threats and causes, I have yet to come across anything that brands itself "Islamofascist" (using that expression). That is an label imposed from the outside. George W Bush was just one person in a long line of many who gave the word a seal of approval and it remains one word in a long list of pejorative terms used to insult Muslims.

Let's consider agendas before falling hook, line and sinker for other people's name-calling.

P.S. I am just as much against extreme mindless violence as the next normal human being though I shouldn't even have to say that.

I think the real motives, basic philosophy, and practical implications of Islamofascism is more important than the apparent labels. Labels are often very deceptive e.g., Jummat-u-Dawa of Pakistan, which sent terrorists to murder hundreds of innocent civilians in cold blood in Mumbay has a name that doesn't sound anything violent...And on the surface, it says to have philanthropist objectives...

It is also the usual trick of Muslims in the West to apparently disassociate themselves from violent acts motivated by Islamofascist tendencies but in private condone rather justify such acts.

Isn't it providing extremists a defensive cover when you say Islamofascism is the label given by Bush? I somehow have the feelings that you wanted to say "West" but then shrewdly encapsulated it in the word "Bush"... I may be wrong though...

        Ah, Toramana,

Here you go again, on your foolish, ill informed, poorly educated, extremely unread, as unlettered as the Taliban you claim to hate, Quixotic quest, chasing Islamic windmills, in a flagrant, yet, once again failed attempt to mix up cause (western interventionalism) and effect (terrorist acts on western soil). Most folks can see right through your ignorant ideologies and are well versed enough to want to read history and understand it.

Michael Scheuer, former head of the Alec Station CIA Unit and a 30 year CIA vet does more than enough to ridicule and crush your idiotic posting regarding this red herring called islamo-facism:

        http://www.antiwar.com/scheuer/?articleid=8827

He wrote Imperial Hubris, Marching Towards Hell, and Through our Enemies Eyes. He is not a dove by enemy measure and is for a complete and crushing victory over Islamists, but advocates an informed view of what motivates them so that his enemy can be understood and viewed through the proper military prism. His actual planning involved using the US military as a broad sword and delivering pulverising punitive hits to the insurgency in the manner of Lord Roberts of Kandahar.

Here is the section of the article that is most pertinent:
        -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"The goal of using the Nazi analogy is to suppress any realistic debate about the pluses and minuses of the U.S.-Israel relationship, and to make sure any American raising questions about U.S. support for Israel is seen as siding with the "Islamofascists," the heirs of Nazism. Any person who knows the least bit about Islam – and the Israelis know a great deal – knows it is not Nazism, yet the Internet is rife with such titles as "A Manifesto Against Islamofascism" and "Islamofascism's Creeping Coup in Turkey." The best capsule description of the threat posed by Islamofascists is provided by Frank Gaffney in a recent issue of The Intelligencer, the journal of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers. Listen to Mr. Gaffney, and you will almost hear Muslim jackboots striking the pavement.
"We are engaged in nothing less than a War for the Free World. This is a fight to the death with Islamofascists, Muslim extremists driven by a totalitarian political ideology that, like Nazism and Communism before it, is determined to destroy freedom and the people who love it."
The drive to make Islamofascist the term of choice in describing America's Muslim enemies is meant to still U.S. debate about Israel and, indeed, to limit questions about any aspect of U.S. foreign policy toward the Islamic world. After all, why would anyone in their right mind care what people think, unless they are blindly and unthinkingly opposed to Islamofascism?
        ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So NO, we wont be fooled or shammed by your ignorance on what appears to be a multitiude of subjects and call the rape victim the aggressor.

Western Interventionalism reaps exactly what it sows. Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Scheuer, and a whole host of others are already waking to this.

You can pack up, get your M16 Rifle, hoist it on your less developed shoulder, and fight your own war for the neocons, but the rest of us prefer to step away from the brink of your assinine, interventionalist ideologies that yearn from perpetual war.

          Accidently posted twice.
However, I expect that they will likely, as they predictably do, attack Scheuer, label him a CIA agent, though we already know he is and was one??? exactly how that debunks his methodology or his ideologies or his work that is utilized world round in counter terrorism will be beyond us. Scheuer is the same individual who headed up the first Alec Station and who Osama Bin Ladin himself said best understood his movement's motives. He is hardly a left winger and appears time and time again on the FOX network and CSPAN urging stronger military recourse. I expect an intelligent response to Scheuer, but, has history shows, this group of posters I answered tends to stick to an evidence lacking approach to both life and scholarship.

My pan-Islamist/Islamofascist friend, I can guess very well what in the article I posted itched you that you came up with such a prompt response...Yes, tt is the reference to Mulsim brotherhood and Jumat-i-Islami (Akhwanul Muslimin), which you have strongly indicated your inclinations towards that provoked you into responding...

Nevertheless, as for comparison of Islmo-fascism with Nazi movement, there are striking similarities between the two; one believed in the supremacy of Germans as a super-race while the other believes in Muslims being God's only chosen people (super religious community); and both consider using force, oppression, and violence appropriate to force other people into submission to their ideolohy...Rather, Muslims (extremists, Islamofascists) are more dangerous because they consider the right to bring other lands under the fold of Islam with sword to be divinely granted ...

You have quoted that source a dozen times...Below is something more authentic about fascism...
"I think yes. The most obvious points of comparison would be these: Both movements are based on a cult of murderous violence that exalts death and destruction and despises the life of the mind. ("Death to the intellect! Long live death!" as Gen. Francisco Franco's sidekick Gonzalo Queipo de Llano so pithily phrased it.) Both are hostile to modernity (except when it comes to the pursuit of weapons), and both are bitterly nostalgic for past empires and lost glories. Both are obsessed with real and imagined "humiliations" and thirsty for revenge. Both are chronically infected with the toxin of anti-Jewish paranoia (interestingly, also, with its milder cousin, anti-Freemason paranoia). Both are inclined to leader worship and to the exclusive stress on the power of one great book. Both have a strong commitment to sexual repression—especially to the repression of any sexual "deviance"—and to its counterparts the subordination of the female and contempt for the feminine. Both despise art and literature as symptoms of degeneracy and decadence; both burn books and destroy museums and treasures. "

The attempt by David Horowitz and his allies to launch "Islamofascism Awareness Week" on American campuses has been met with a variety of responses....

MCC has no recognition in Canada. Memebers left that organization in mass and said; "The message that MCC has been giving out is "not addressed to Muslims, it is aimed at making Muslim haters feel secure in their thinking"."

"Progressive Muslims" are friends of imperialism.

Besides Sweden car bomb was a false flag operation like nyc car bomb. Same story.

Below is another source telling as where did the term originate from.

"On July 20, 2001, our former religion editor, Larry Witham, interviewed the Muslim scholar who is sometimes credited with inventing the term. Daring to question hardline Islam, the German-born Khalid Duran told The Washington Times that Islamism is really "Islamofascism" because it seeks to impose a forceful religious orthodoxy on the state and the citizenry. Use of the term has mushroomed ever since. It's easy to see why. It describes a real phenomenon. "

Present day Islam as practiced in pakhtunkhwa/afghanistan is Islamofascism, so as far as the pashtoon is considered - Islam is Islamofascism. Before the world turns around and nukes kaaba and everything around it, we should our self try to reform and present a coherent separation of a benign, individual, apolitical, non-exploitative, Islam from the regular Islamofascism (Islam) that is dominant amongst the outward terrorist and their muslim sympathizers both in the west and in muslim countries.

Calling the new benign islam as "khasi - Islam" as I had previously suggested may be too hard to swallow, but we can call it something more glamorous, such as " the enlightened Islam" (ie Khasi Islam). Khasi keegi kho ba, either by us or by outsiders. Even allah cant avoid that from happening.

Who cares where the term originated from...

Monotheistic religions are based on scripture and theology is derived from scripture. So if you want to prove that Islam is fascistic than you have to do it based on what is written in the Qur'an.

Using the lose definition given by the author above...America is a fascist country because it is forcefully imposing democracy on other states and citizens, in iraq and afghanistan.

pashtoons dont know a lot of things that I know. LOL.

Pashtoons know what islam is, those that have followed the deobandi,,salafi version (only 30-40 year old) are following a fascist ideology, however pashtoons have united for loot and plunder under Islam many a times before. However now such a living is not productive and I am against it for pure economic reasons.

I didn't read every post here yet.
But Islamofascism is most closely associated with Jewish conservative talk show host Michael Savage. [What a name anyway!]

He is for sure the one who popularized it. I assumed he had also invented it.

However, who would trust the Washington Times anyway? It's a pathetic paper, an abject slave of the neocons.

As Alchemist mentioned, of course it's nothing but a false flag bombing.

So was the London 7-7, most likely, and every single other one so far.
They are charades to scare the respective publics of well-chosen countries.

Islamofascism is a very apologitic term. I would go with the description of Winston Chruchill, he is so right when he describes Islam.........:

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.

The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.

No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."

-- Sir Winston Churchill (The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50 [London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1899]).
