Keep women as prostitutes, slaves, torture them the way they want and make them live their lives they way their family/husband want it to?; Like it's happening in majority of Muslim nations? In many Muslim nations beghairati is seen as dignifying and a woman's will and effort is seen as beghairati, no wonder those country never progress!

Islam doesn't say so. It's just your opinion of how women are inferior and weaker than you are -- there's nothing IN a woman's nature that prevents her from joining the army or from fighting in a battle. It's just your ego, the fact that you are afraid of women serving as leaders of a people.

Mind you, it's not just "Indians" and non-Pukhtuns who don't mind women in the army. A LOT of Pukhtuns don't mind it either, and you see the women speaking their mind here, don't you? Which female has expressed that she is against women joining the army?

How is it a shame? Men like yourself are not joining the army and you're going to keep the daughters of Malalai and Nazo from joining it, too?
Afghanistan is not only your Nang, it is not only your Namoos. We women happen to love it just as much - if not more - and if need be I will give my life for Afghanistan any day, without a single second of doubt.

This is our country as much as it is yours. If you and I sit in KSA and USA... at least let those women sitting in the ruins of Kandahar and Kunar defend their country that is everything to them.
