Here , in pakistan khyber pass is an emblem of pashtuns . It was a gateway of pashtun warriors.

Yes, that is totally true. Khyber is not just the Khyber Jamrod area, Khyber is basically an icon word for all Afghan areas more or less generally on the east side of the Durand. So this would automatically include Mardan, Sawabi all others as well.
