Then in that case, Kabul infrastructure would have to be completely worked on.

You need cameras in bus lanes to scare way drivers from busy intersections and lots of buses, so that they are frequent. What puts people off buses is waiting around for a bus and getting stuck in traffic.

Further more, trolly bus system or better still trams in the very centre of Kabul would be better if you have the space and the roads are wide enough, as they don't produce air pollution.

Have you even been to Amsterdam before? That place is really crazy and you have to wacth, what your doing when you cross the road in that place. Unless you happen to be riding a bicycle in which case you can just knock people out of the way and drive in front of cars.

I understand wrora, I wish to see Kandahar and other major provinces (actually all) to flourish,but we all have to see that Kabul has major issues that affects the entire country, from its environmental issue, Pashto status, to its corrupt government, its gotta start somewhere.

it should start with getting the cultural, pashto and enviromental issues tackled first, isnt kabul basicaly full of dump waste which are producing toxic gasses? why not get this cleaned up first etc

these americans and foriegners are basicaly changing us to be like them, a friend of mine just went back to paktai and he took pics, his uncle is in goverment aswell, i saw pool tables, drink bars etc posters of girls half naked on walls in thier rooms and i bet you anything the money for this have come thru corrupt means! all this "aid" money thats meant to be for the whole country is never distributed fairly as and i will say this, as the tajiks/hazara/uzbeks are in bed with america and so they basicaly take it all and we pashtuns are left to suffer, not enough is done to help us, if you compare north afghanistan with south i think you will see the difference with your own eyes very easily. youl be able to see where the money is all going. the corrupt goverment isnt doing much either!!!

you may think arghh what a racists etcc from what iv just said but this opinion wasnt just there it has been formed, iv seen how the tajiks etc hate us, iv seen it face to face, experienced it and its made me dislike them beyond limits! and then when these kind of thingz go on in afghanistan where pashtuns are losing thier language, way of life etc it pisses me off even more!

no ur not a racist but ur a fool. what does ur story got to do with the thread anyway?? just frustrated why these developments happen in Kabul aka "Tajek areas"?? Kabul is full of Tajeks, Pashtuns, Hazaras, Uzbaks etc 'n even foreigners live there plus its the capital of AFG with a population of around 4 mil people.. arent these reasons enough for Kabul to be the main concentration?? just cuz Dari happen to be dominating in the city? realli? when was ur last time in AFG anyway? when u were 1? Pashto isnt dying or is ur culture, just go to Kabul once 'n come back 'n slap my face if u dont hear from passport checkers to airport security guards to policemen to shopkeepers to business etc speak Pashto 'n that a Pashto with hardly any Dari word in it.. as for other Afghans "sleeping in bed with foreigners" then whats Karzai doing?? isnt he the main foreign mistress? Uzbaks 'n Hazaras 're poorest out of major ethnics which is why Hazarajat 'n Turkestan areas 're most poorly constructed 'n least developed areas of AFG. dont throw empty words in the air. north is better than south cuz south is a fighting zone,its full of Taleban supports,plus many foreign aid workers get killed there. its the rural Pashtoons who 're proud of not accepting foreign aid. which foreigner 'll risk his life for south even tho those mil's of Pashtoons abroad dont gather guts to return back 'n help out economically?? moaning is easy esp by those who cant do anything else

What do you guys think though whether a Metro Bus system
would suit kabul better or the Hiace van system they have in Pakistan. If you look at it business and infratstructure wise a Hiace system is very light on the roads whereas buses cause a lot more damage, the vans offer more deep approach into the city suburbs than the buses do especially in a conflict ravaged city. And not only that Hiace come in relatively cheaper than the buses do so at a local level it can really help jumpstart the tranpsport business. Travel fares tend to be less with Hiace and not to mention they don't clog up the roads, Buses due to their bigger size not only are a traffic headache but they are also the most soft targets for terrorists because a person can conceal themselves fairly well in a bus and a moving bus is easier to hit and causes more damage than a Toyota Hiace type van



But ofcourse a metro system offers to fill pockets of the government much more heavily than a privatized public transport system such as the one I described
