Agree. Im a fan of tajines, couscous and green tea with mint served in colourful glasses
In Morocco even strawberries sold in the street and put in a piece of newspeaper taste heavenly. And ubiquitous sounds of karkabou... Simply magical place

Yes Cairo is crowded but it has some nice places for visiting , not only the Pyramids , there's the museum which is one of the most important museums in the world , Mohammad Ali's fort . The Nile ( you can use it to reach the very beautiful south of Egypt) or simply walk along it for few minutes at night .
Damascus is different , the weather is better , less people outside houses , many ancient places , the food is different (with the exception of some dishes) . Rest of Syria also has beautiful places .Last edited by MohannaD; 09-13-2011, 02:59 AM.

Do you have a receipe for Libyan couscous? I would try it. I'm familiar with Arabic cuisine, spices etc.Originally posted by MohannaD View PostI love their food , it takes time to make some of the dishes (maybe most) but it's worth it.
You should try Libyan couscous, it's a little bit different .دلته دم او قدم دواړه په حساب دي - پل په لاره غلط مه ږده بې حسابه

Yes I do. Pots, pans and other special stuff for steaming.Originally posted by MohannaD View PostDo you have the special pans ? the two big ones used for steaming . If you were here in Kuwait I would've asked my mother to make you some.
I would like to try your mother's couscous but so far my trip plans don't include Kuwait
Anyway I think that Lybian couscous is more spicy than Moroccan one. Do you add lot of harissa to it?دلته دم او قدم دواړه په حساب دي - پل په لاره غلط مه ږده بې حسابه
