Agree. It was the worst place I have ever lived. No green areas, nothing to do after work apart from eating outside and shopping. Both aren't my favorite sport.

i commend the vision of its leaders, more so the leader of abu dhabi but i fear the selling out of islamic values for money.

sadly islamic values have deteriorated . . . "professionals" hang around in many bars that attract tourists from all around to fill hotels, culture of scantily clad beauties is accepted, many western expats are british lager louts, red neck south africans, aussies, many of whom were unsuccessful in their own countries, touting their business and skills here successfully. slavery goes on in another guise.

i am still here, so i can work in an islamic country, where i can hear the azan, walk to a masjid, and fly home within couple of hours to see my family.
