I supported Holland all the way through from the time the World Cup began.

Well, Portugal is just one dum player Ronaldo who cant play football and only knows how to make a hair doo with a lot of gel. And as for Germany, yes that was the only worthy team but again as I said, only children with a mean age ~23-24 years. They beat amateur children and that too with a lot of drama and acting.

And Spain plays posession football. They wont score 7 goals in a game but patiently build on pressure by keeping the ball. If you have played football, you would know that its not easy to play out this tactic. You really need to be technically very good and curb your instincts for long range shooting. Tell me how many shots did the Spaniards take outside of the D. Not many, and usually it was either Alonso or Ramos trying the long rangers. The rest of the more gifted players, stuck to the plan and kept the ball with themselves.

That's a horrible generalization to make. We have to be very careful when it comes to stereotypes. There is always this notion of "Dutch/Germans are very unwelcoming and cold" from people who haven't even met any.. or have met a few and think they can generalize. We can't/ If we do, that'd mean that it's true that all Afghans are aggressive, fundamentalist, backward-thinking cavemen. And that's not true. Neither is this "arrogant, unwelcoming, cold' stereotype about Europeans, Dutch and Germans in particular. Nor has it anything to do with why they lost.

On a different note, it's a horrible comparison, too. The German national team plays some serious soccer, some very clean and straight forward soccer.. whereas the Dutch team seems to be doing Karate rather than soccer at times: We saw that in 2006 in their game against Portugal - 16 yellow cards, 4 red cards; we saw that in their game against Spain yesterday. They're very aggressive, they play dirty soccer. This final was epic and the two teams both played well and on a similar athletic level.. else they wouldn't have gone without a goal for 2 hours. At the end, Spain had a greater ball possession, a cleaner manner of playing and that little hint of "deserving it more" because they played that bit better.

Actually, Americans are the most stupid people of the entire Western civilization. But the common Americans are not the inventors and scientists. The inventors and scientists are a very small elite.

And most American scientists and inventors are by origin from other parts of the world who moved to America for better payment.
