China is still dominating the medals table. United kingdom is performing well.

The US has more overall medals, I wouldn't call that 'dominating'. Basketball, Soccer, and many other contest still remain.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

But it is only the gold medals that makes a nation on top, you can check the previous records of the Olympics. So still only China has that position, no one knows about the future.
America has got a lakhkar of 585 athletes in the Olympics, America has dominated the Olympic games for so many times and also is a sporty nation. Also you can check that America has got 16 gold medals only in one sport that swimming, from here you can weigh their over all performance. China at the other hand has only 385 athletes the lowest number of athletes in all big countries like Russia, England, Austraila and America.

the americans are arrogant and i will bet that whatever is in the chinese urine samples today will be illegal in a few years.

afghanistans only hope for a medal is tomorrow.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
