This time all the teams came in their traditional dresses but it was a shocking moment for us Pashtoons when we saw the brave Afghans in western dress.
At least you should accept this mistake by them.
it may be a fault but i totally understand why they would choose to do that. had taliban not banned men from wearing suits in public, the afghans would not be wearing suits in malls today. they are just expressing their freedom of choice.

          Irrelevant.

But if we take your argument material then the girls should have also come in the western dress.

It's a sporting event, not a fashion show.
If they want to represent their country's culture through the clothes that they wear then that's their choice.

But they came to represent their country through sport, not through culture.

So I don't see why it's such a big deal.
Worry about the medals they bring back in the end, not the clothes they wear in the beginning.

To advise others is an easy matter, the difficulty is accepting advice -- since it is bitter for those who follow their
            own inclinations and desires

Yes but it was an official instruction to them to be in their traditional dresses. But some don't care

So?? I don't care if she is from Israel. When I like something, I like it. I don't care where it came from.

I don't see it as mistake, many countries didn't wear traditional clothes.

the afghans looked better in the past when they were rocking afghan clothes.

why is it so damn hard to find the times and results of games on nbc and yahoo's websites?
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.
