man i hate matt hughes, i was so glad when bj penn knocked him out in their last fight.

bjj is one of the most effective weapons in mma, it dominated the early ufcs back when there were no rules and no weight classes because no one knew how to defend against it. nowadays fighters are more well rounded but in a street fight i would take a bjj guy over a krav maga guy any day, if its 1 on 1.

i dont know if u watch mma regularly but if u saw the jacare vs lawler fight the other night, it goes to show u how dangerous a guy with bjj and standup is.

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

LOL randolph Krav Maga is the most leathal form of realistic martial art in the world..do sum research bro and let me know what you find. if you saw krav maga in a real situation it would be a snuff movie, you would not have two guys doing krav maga in a ring/cage for 20 mins. training is usually done in slow motion its only logical, and the brain intakes more, Systemma/Maga arnt there for entertainment or to impress viewers with super flash movies..in MMA its all about winning. in Real life its about surviving.

It took a minute for any contact to happen, and when it did, they hugged each other against the cage for a couple of secounds and instead of dismantling the oponent then threw each other to the ground. why ground when they didnt need to? its cuz its routine for them. my brother is a professional boxer and he's also deep into all this UFC crap he's a member at PF aswel and i have this exact conversation with him all the time. Yes BJJ is leathal but even Rickson Gracie said the true form cannot be expressed in the ring its far from a complete martial art. bottom line is this if your not in the ring and in real life, your better off with some forms of Ninjitsu, Escrima, Systemma, KM..in real life you pull someones nuts off if you have to even bite flesh if needed (something of which these prize fighters wont know what to do if it happend to them)

In 'real fights' you can stab people and kick them in the nuts. Yes, MMA best reflects schoolyard recess fighting. The way kids fight.

MMA also parallels the way hysterical women may fight.

Boxing best reflects the way real men fight.

As for sports viewing value? I'd rather watch a more difficult sport like boxing where actual effective dangerous punches are exchanges 100s of times over.

Compare to MMA where most of the time is spent hugging each other on the ground.

u can also shoot someone with a gun, so no fighting technique can defend against that.

do u realize u can box in mma if u want? u also, wrestle, kickbox, and grapple.

were talking about fighting without weapons obviously..having said that though in real life if you held a gun or a knife to the head of a mma dude he wont know what to do, weras a Systemma, Krav Maga guy would.

any with speed could react to a gun to the head, but i dont see any situation where a gun would be pointed at the head in close range. unless its a crazy bum with a gun who wants ur wallet. i only see krav maga working in very close quarters and against someone who doesnt know how to fight at all.

u know there are former special forces fighters and former idf mma fighters out there, none are that good.
