      A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

      For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

      The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

              ^ Nopes, he is a Nurestani but a Dari speaking one. Nurestani's used to have their own language but since Afghanistan was created they mainly started speaking Dari. The thing which was disturbing me was him describing himself as Tajik few years back because of him speaking Dari, but after meeting his family I saw they are all very proud Nurestani's and very respectful of Pukhto as well. My brothers-in-law even said they prefer Pukhto over Dari since they live in a Pukhtoon area, but since it's their grand-father's wish for them to speak Dari they will have to respect their grand-father's wish. Which is absolutely fine with me.

                  ^ Yup, every single brother and sister-in-law of mine is blessed with a God given beauty. They are all still very young (oldest one is 18) but they gonna be gorgeous men/women when they get older, Mashahlah.

                        ^ Majority of them live in Jalalabad but some moved to Kabul. Though those in Laghman got some unique beauty, maybe because a lot of them mixed with Pukhtoons now.

                        @DINO
                        There was a time nearly every area in Afghanistan was known for it's beautiful people; Kabul, Mazar, Herat, Kandahar, Badakhshan and you name it! Many people hadn't seen many Pukhtoon women from South but after all those refugees who went to Pakistan, many Afghans got together and there also beauty of Khosti's, Wardaki's, Paktiawals (according to myself the most beautiful ones in Afghanistan) and other Pukhtoons also came to light. But thanks to the war, hardly much beauty is left in Afghanistan. They look much older than their age and no matter how pretty they are, there is always a scratch, mark, burn or anything else left on their faces.
