  • Regrets and advices?

Tell us about things u deeply regret doing in your life and what advice you would give others to prevent the misery u ‘ve been through because of your misery? There’s so much I would want to start about but let me see who else has got anything in common.

My biggest regret? In not listening, or better in hearing what I should do, and in not doing it.

Now that I'm older and wiser, I feel like I don't regret the decisions that I've made in my life. At least there's nothing drastic that happened that makes me want to change things in my life. Of course, there are little things that I regret, like: not studying enough, or not "being motivated enough during a certain time". Again, nothing serious. Overall, Alhmadulilah, I have no regrets. I'm happy where I am. And the path that I took to get here. I've experienced a lot in life, but through all those triumphs I've learned lessons from them. So now, I'm content with all of the bigger decisions I've made in life.

My advice on this would be to learn from that mistake or from those regrets and move on with your life. The past is the past. There's no way to change that. But your future and what you want to do now can be easily changed. Worked with what you have and pray. Pray that Allah (SWT) helps you out with anything else you need. I feel complete when I pray and those little mistakes don't seem to matter much anymore. So have regrets there's nothing wrong with them-- but at the end of the day think of all the possibilities that you do have. Insha'Allah things will get better.
"Do not lose hope in adversity and complain that God singled you out for punishment, remitting others guilty of worse sins. Your present state could very well be His intent to elevate your spiritual station. Or He could just be testing your faith. Everyday that you persevere, you grow closer to perfection. Thus, your present despair may be the beginning of an infinite blessing". - Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani.

My advice : Live your life so you have no regrets

My regret : I couldn't follow my own advice
It's enough that I know, Our time had a home, In your heart..Was a place..But the glass always breaks..

My biggest one has to be when in high school's first year I had top marks in the college and instead of studying six years before I could join a university, I had the chance to study for four years before joining the university! But after getting that 'offer', I got so many personal problems that I was absent from college that year at least one day a week, which very strongly went against my strength. And then I failed one class, plus worked for a year and lost another college year. I lost that opportunity and even though from next year I can join university, Inshahlah, I very deeply regret for throwing four years of my away just like that. Heck, I could have been a graduate from university by now!

No matter what, always put your education in your priority list next to your personal life, but don't make your personal life ruin your education to an extend you lose years of study to waste of time. I am sure we all know how important education nowadays has become.

My biggest regret is not going for a love marriage instead of arranged one, and my advice would be think a million times before saying yes to anyone at all.

but onto your topic, I think we should not think of love, and that these are just illusions of the mind. The only reason people get married is to have children, and trust me, if you are pashtun, you are not going to find a love marriage with a pashtun (you will have to look elsewhere, and then you would be finished from Pashtun community). Marriage for pashtuns is only for having companionship and a family.

Also, I think we think about these things because of the media, but these ideas only make one become filthy and losing honor, and live a worthless life.
                              no not just family !!

if it was like that i would marry any girl then
she s right to love some one but not like what u think .
                              in west it's become easy
but belive me this day's u can't found someone love u like u want and think
don't ever marry until u know what he think how he think......
