back in kabul we had dogs but i wouldn't say they were pets. they were vicious and kept for security reasons only.
i had some fishes a while ago. unfortunately life got so hectic that i forgot to feed them...by the time i remembered , they were floating on top of the tank...
now i have a cat. every day she brings a poor half dead bird home but she is so adorable. the first time she went out and didn't come home before dark, i cried for 4 hours straight.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

Lol I was crying to my parents and grandparents to do something to make it alive, I was trying to shake it lol, just to see it miraculously came to life again but to no prevail..lol. Grandad cracked up so badly when my parents chucked the fish in the bin and I cried even more.

When I grow up, I will have a parrot named Zarrgey (means "heart") -- a parrot that knows how to talk, that is, of course

I might also have a monkey, but I think I'll feel too guilty about its being away from its natural home (No, I won't feel guilty about the parrot.)

I will also most likely have a dog named either Bakhtawar (means "lucky") or Wadaan ("prosperous"). I have reasons for these names

                          We have had a rabbit.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

                          -Ferishta, 1560–1620

I dont know, ask my father! lol there is a joke that Kandahari men love birds....dunno if Kandaharis here heard that before.

yeah....these pigeons dont look normal, they are not the kind you see on the streets, trust me.

rabbits look fun but aren't. they don't let you hold them or feed them. they stink very back and they multiply like flies...but they taste really good!
