Basically it's a story of Punjabi Sikhs who lived in KP/FATA and have moved back to Punjab, but claim to be Pashtuns. This is despite the fact that they all have Punjabi names, look like Punjabis, and don't otherwise seem to resemble Pashtuns in any way but language.
At first i cringed reading this article but then i became angry knowing that this punjabi mental disease of telling lies all the time about what they are and trying hard to steal other peoples identities and cultures and claim them as their own is really common.

It is a kind of cancerous cultural subversion and appropriation that punjabis and other Indics are waging against Afghans particularly Pashtuns.

"Even our relatives who’ve migrated to Delhi take pride in being called Pashtun Sikhs, and many others who’ve kept Pashto alive in faraway lands." hahahahhahahaha
God its turned to an obsession, the next bit reads "The Pashtun aura has a mystical charm to it". Bindips be treating pashtuns as some sort of superpower

        • Why are many Pakistanis so light skinned/white? : pakistan

“Why are many Pakistanis so light-skinned?” A question only a Paki would ask lol.

          • How do you know he's a pahstun?

When he posted some pictures of some punjabis(old thread, i guess), Hadouken said that he's one of the members, who present his people best.

I don't know if he meant that he's a paki and pakistani people are his kind.
But the thing is, that he (hadouken) doesn't associate us pahstuns with desis, at all. So, he might(lameduck) actually be a punjabi.

Idk i might be wrong but i remember someone saying that he was a pathan (pakistani pashtun) but i might have read it wrong, so ur probs right about that. The people who associate afghans with paki punjabis are insecure punjabis. I have never seen any person in anthroforums that would link punjabis and afghans together unless it was an insecure south asian troller, desperately wanting to claim afghans so he can be accepted as one of us lol.

                • I actually never really see indians online claiming us tbh, except some indic member here named karachi, then there's another guy named blackkillzai who makes sock-accounts as pahstuns. But i don't think he counts, as they're just his sock-accounts(just in case you're going to notcie ibrahim shahizai, he's not a pahstun but a sock-account) and i never really heard about him being a wannabe, just a weirdo.

But i assume there are lots of them, according to your links, which i haven't read though.

I just don't get why they want to be pahstuns and appear lighter(pahstuns can look white at really rare times and mostly looks like middleeasterns, but we're pretty dark too and specially us kandaharis), just because some white supremacists said whites are superior and due to colonial times.

But sometimes i really get the impression that you guys hates indics and just want them to portray as pahstun-wannabes, because you're really into this topic and i haven't in long time seen any indic pahstun wannabes. It's just because i'm at the places where there aren't any of them or it's just because you're racists?

Maybe cause you haven't interacted with them much? We are providing you enough proof with this thread that they exist, don't know what else we're supposed to do. I mean, they literally have a caste named 'Pathan'. I've spoken to such people in real life and even had arguments with them online.

By the way, Pakistani Punjabis don't claim Pashtun-ness that much, its mainly Indian Muslims (including the Muhajirs of Karachi) and Bengalis. Pak Punjabis do it sometimes too though. Desi Muslims also claim ancestry from Persians, Arabs, etc. but to a lesser degree. On the Punjab government's website, they say that they have Arab, Persian, Afghan, etc. blood.

                    • Wait, they also exist in real life!? And the punjab government too!?(I know punjabis don't do that, but they're still kinda annoying, just arrogant).

What the hell is this world turning into?

I find it weird that indians want to claim afghans as them, when pakistan is in the way lol. The caste thing is so weird and lets just appreciate the fact that that kind of thing never reached afghanistan. And we arent portreying all indic people as pashtun wannabes at all jama0112. But there is a good amount on the internet who troll pashtuns in website like anthroforums and even this website right here. It happens a lot and i have seen many posts in this website with wannabe pashtuns either disguising themselves as afghans and blurting useless **** about how afghans are indians bla bla bla. Why do you think this post was made jama0112? It was to enlighten the fact that these people DO exist and they exist because they cant accept who they are. I personally dont like indians, but i do have indian friends, and i have this one indian friend who tells me all about how india ruled afghanistan and stuff and how they used to be hindus, ik another indian who claims afghan ancestry but looks like apu from the simpson.

It depends on experience, and of course they exist in real life lol. Pakistani punjabis also have their own inferiority complexes as well, and in some cases worse than indians, but this one is nothing to do with being pashtun or afghan or whatever, its trying to distance themselves away from indians. I mean the government website claims ancestry from "afghans, turks persians blah blah blah" but not from indians lol (who make up most of punjabs genetic and phenotypical makeup)

The ones that troll Pashtuns on forums often don't claim to be of Pashtun origin, but they try to connect Pashtuns to Indians, so they still have a complex.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."
