In India it might be normal to frame everything through religion and try to ascribe this psychology to the entirety of Muslims around the World too, but this is just your narrow subcontinental fiction of how the rest of the World is.

Indeed fanaticism, conspiracy theories and poor education is prevalent in many Muslim countries and communities today but this is entirely irrelevant to what i am pointing out to you regarding India's interests in Balochistan and Afghanistan.

Only a naive fool would believe that Indian foreign policy is based on some kind of benevolence and not self interest. It has nothing to do with Muslims and non Muslims you ignorant paki.

India is too poor and too underdeveloped to be investing in foreign countries purely as an act of good will. India has its own vested interests which is plain for all to see and so what? It has been reciprocated by both Karzai and now Ghani and has been welcomed by Baloch Nationalists too.

I like Afghanistan and it's people. That like is of course tinged with a large measure of pity and wanting to help.

I always found that perplexing to hear from Indians, because large populations in India are in squalor, rampant crime, and other issues. I just can't comprehend where Indians would have the energy to pity or wanting to help when there's so much to remedy in their own midst. It suggest that they may have some other less lofty motives.

Its pure opportunism. Just like how smelly Rawalpindi HQ thought they could use Afghanistan for "strategic depth" in case of war with India now since 9/11 India has saw opportunity in Afghanistan and then Balochistan to hurt Pakiland.

Both of these sisters are fixated on trying to outdo the other in some kind of sick game. Afghanistan and Balochistan are useful tools for them to try to weaken the other.

But Pakliand the greater evil. Unlike India, pakis actually dreamt in official circles that they would one day subdue and confederate with Afghanistan. I remember 20 years ago in mid 90s many paki establishment figures from religious and secular writing articles and treatise on inevitable "union" of Afghanistan with Pakiland. Punjabi establishment used to boast, Afghanistan is 5th province of napakistan while Taliban backed by Paki army was killing thousands of people. I remember this very well.

Very very interesting. The reviews of this book indicate that the lines between sikhism and hinduism were only clearly demarcated upon British rule. Not sure how accurate that is, but it’s interesting that someone has gone as far as publishing something to that effect.

Either way it merely further confirms sikhs as being hindu cannon fodder. The book argues they didn't even see each other as different, until British tutelage. The Sikhs I’ve met personally do have a special reverence for hindus and hinduism. They will prefer not to eat beef, but have no issues eating pork (their religion prohibits both). They see hindus as their superiors, and an educated hindu is seen as a massive upgrade to them, so getting married to one is almost like a proletariat somehow moving up to a bourgeoisie.

Yeah... I had trouble articulating why I personally liked the sound of Pashto (northern dialect, of course, not the foorsi shekshka mekshka thing some people speak) much more than Punjabi. In my mind it just "sounded superior". But thank you for this. This makes a lot of sense. The Dalit heritage will explain why Punjabi has phonetically more in common with, say Tamil, than Pashto, even though they're next door to Pashto.
