Take the example of Bangladesh. If we coveted territory, it was there for the taking in 1971. Did we annexe it? No.

Today 45 years on Bangladesh is racing ahead of Paki fleas. Islam is about to be removed as the state religion. And it is well on its way to merging back with India.

On their own. They are an Indian protectorate. And flourishing.

Either way it merely further confirms sikhs as being hindu cannon fodder. The book argues they didn't even see each other as different, until British tutelage. The Sikhs I’ve met personally do have a special reverence for hindus and hinduism. They will prefer not to eat beef, but have no issues eating pork (their religion prohibits both). They see hindus as their superiors, and an educated hindu is seen as a massive upgrade to them, so getting married to one is almost like a proletariat somehow moving up to a bourgeoisie.



Yeah... I had trouble articulating why I personally liked the sound of Pashto (northern dialect, of course, not the foorsi shekshka mekshka thing some people speak) much more than Punjabi. In my mind it just "sounded superior". But thank you for this. This makes a lot of sense. The Dalit heritage will explain why Punjabi has phonetically more in common with, say Tamil, than Pashto, even though they're next door to Pashto.

Interesting information, another thing I've noticed is Pakistani pakhtoons have started to look like punjabis while Afghan pashtuns are still pure as ever. Maybe because Pakistani pakhtoons have lots of local ancestry after moving from Afghanistan. Even Pakistani pashto sound closer to punjabi, just watch Khyber TV for more interesting information. Like that Afghan chaiwala, hard to imagine Pakistani pakhtoon could look like him.

I am half poonjabi and half urdu speaker plus quarter pathan from Bengal. I know about Pakistan more then anyone else here. Pakistani pashto sound like punjabi to me, I can understand what they say on Khyber TV but can't understand Afghan channels. Maybe that make Pakistani pashto inferior to you but to me it sound normal. Or maybe you are just biased.

Afghans are not stupid here, they most have noticed and have seen Pakistanis pakhtoons. Loy Afghanistan is actually spot on.

There's always a handful of indian men who marry white women.
